EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max

The DELTA 3 Max shares two kilowatt-hours with the DELTA 2 Max below and the Max Plus above, one suitcase in three trims. This trim has the record: 41 wins in 47 head-to-heads, unbeaten by any Jackery or Anker. It clears a blackout night narrowly, and reviewers’ word for it is quiet, kept so by the app.

What the DELTA 3 Max actually runs

The load profiles every comparison on the site is scored on, computed for this unit alone: energy needed against the usable tank after inverter losses, and whether the inverter holds and starts the biggest single load.

Buy the DELTA 3 Max if…

  • You want the better value — $200 cheaper and cheaper to own, at $0.39 per Wh vs $0.49.

    Decided 17 matchups · read one →

  • Buy the DELTA 3 Max if an outage is the scenario you're actually planning for. It cleared four of the six loads we tested on its own — an 8-hour blackout, a CPAP overnight, a full remote workday, a tailgate party — and it got closer than the RIVER 2 ever could on the two it didn't clear alone.

    Decided 4 matchups · read one →

  • You want a unit to trust as a quiet, always-on UPS without a known fan-behavior quirk sitting in the reviews.

    Decided 3 matchups · read one →

  • You're buying for the next outage, not the last one. An eight-hour blackout asks 1,645Wh, and the DELTA is the only one of these two that finishes it, with about 6% of its usable bank left. Don't plan on two nights without sun.

    Decided 3 matchups · read one →

A rival won when…

  • You want the longest warranty term here — a sixth year the DELTA 3 Max doesn't offer.

    Decided 7 matchups · read one →

  • You carry the unit yourself regularly — 25 lbs against the DELTA's 50.7 is a genuinely easier lift.

    Decided 3 matchups · read one →

  • It's also the better buy on simple warranty-year math: $90 a year against $170 across the same 5-year term, if you don't plan to run either battery anywhere near its full rated cycle life.

    Decided 3 matchups · read one →

  • Your loads are tailgate-sized. The 670Wh that scenario models leaves the DJI 200Wh of derated usable spare, and you're the one walking it across a parking lot.

How to read this

  • Usual is the price the unit carried most of the time, tested for how long it held rather than how often we looked. A weekend promotion cannot move it.
  • Best is the lowest price we have read on the store itself. Typed coupon codes, member-only prices and marketplace listings are not counted; anything applied automatically at checkout is.
  • A gap in the line is a day we could not read a price. We never draw across one, and we never show the store’s own “was” price.

Here each report is weighted by what the complaint costs a buyer (a failure outranks an app gripe) and by its evidence (a measured owner report outranks a shopper’s opinion), then compared with every report in the corpus.

Questions people ask

What's the real difference between the DELTA 3 Max and DELTA 3 Plus?

Capacity is exactly double on the Max, 2,048Wh against 1,024Wh, for just $100 more. Output and surge scale with it (2,400W/4,800W against 1,800W/3,600W), and the Max weighs 23.7 lbs more. Cycle life, warranty, solar input, and the on-paper noise rating are identical.

From ecoflow delta 3 max vs ecoflow delta 3 plus

Which is cheaper, the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max or the DELTA Pro 3?

The DELTA 3 Max, by $1,550 — $849 against the DELTA Pro 3's $2,399. It's also the cheaper unit to own long-term, at $0.10 per lifetime kWh against the Pro 3's $0.15.

From ecoflow delta 3 max vs ecoflow delta pro 3

Can the DELTA 3 Max handle a full weekend of camping?

Not on a single charge. A weekend camping load runs about 2,100Wh, and the DELTA 3 Max would need 121% of its usable capacity to cover it — it runs out before the trip's over. The DELTA Pro 3 covers the same trip using 60% of its capacity, with 40% left in reserve.

From ecoflow delta 3 max vs ecoflow delta pro 3

Is the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max worth $380 more than the DELTA 3 Classic?

If you'll actually cycle it, yes. The $380 gap buys 5,120 kWh more lifetime delivery — 8,192 kWh against the Classic's 3,072 — which works out to about $0.07 at the margin per kWh, cheaper than either unit's own cost-per-lifetime-kWh ($0.15 and $0.10). If your loads stay small and you won't put real cycles on it, the Classic's lower sticker price is the better deal.

From ecoflow delta 3 classic vs ecoflow delta 3 max

How much heavier is the DELTA 3 Max than the Classic?

24 lbs — 50.7 against 26.7. That's the difference between a one-hand carry and a two-hands, bent-knees lift. It's the real cost of the extra capacity and the lower cost-per-kWh, not something the spec sheet calls out on its own.
