Buy the DELTA 2 Max ($949) if your loads can exceed 1,024Wh. It's the only one of the two that covers an 8-hour blackout (94% of the 1,645Wh draw, where the DELTA 3 Classic would need 189%) or a full remote workday. Buy the DELTA 3 Classic ($469) if your loads fit comfortably inside 1,024Wh. Both units cost the same 46 cents a watt-hour, so you're not losing any value by going smaller, just capacity you weren't going to use.
Is the DELTA 2 Max just a bigger DELTA 3 Classic?
Mostly, but not entirely. Capacity, output, and solar input all roughly double on the DELTA 2 Max (2,048Wh vs 1,024Wh, 2,400W vs 1,800W, 1,000W solar vs 500W). But the DELTA 3 Classic actually wins two specs outright: a faster 10ms UPS switchover against 20ms, and better warranty value at $94 a year of coverage against $190.
Is the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max or the DJI Power 2000 the better buy?
For most buyers, the DELTA 2 Max: it's $350 cheaper for an identical 2,048Wh battery, and it's fractionally the cheaper one to own too at $0.15 per lifetime kWh against $0.16. The Power 2000 is rated for more cycles, runs quieter under load, and pushes more continuous output — real advantages, but ones you now pay full price for.
Is the DJI Power 2000 worth $350 more than the DELTA 2 Max?
Only for specific buyers. If you'll cycle the unit daily for years, its 4,000-cycle rating buys about 2.8 more years of service than the DELTA 2 Max's 3,000. If it'll sit within earshot of where you sleep, it measured meaningfully quieter under load [A1][B2].
