Solar panels for the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max
Written by Ian Schneider·Solar & Off-Grid Tester
The DELTA 3 Max keeps 2048 Wh behind one solar port. The port is an XT60i, EcoFlow's own yellow DC plug, and it accepts 11 to 60 volts and up to 500 W. Thirty-one of the forty-one panels we track publish a voltage. Every one of the thirty-one stays below the 60 V line, EcoFlow's eight among them.
With nothing too tall, the question becomes how long you are willing to wait. Five sets of panels fill the 500 W input, and each of them is two panels or more. With the input full, the battery is done in about four hours of good sun. One 200 W folding panel gives about 144 W and needs about fourteen hours, a few days of good sun. At the cabin I'd bring the second panel. Two of EcoFlow's 400 W folders fill the port, and a long weekend of waiting turns into an afternoon.

Every panel we track, lined up at the DELTA 3 Max's solar input
Every panel we track with a published voltage, lined up by that voltage. The figure is Voc, the open-circuit voltage, the number a panel reads in sun with nothing on the other end of its cable. The black line is 60 V, the most the DELTA 3 Max will take. No bar gets there.
The pale cap on each bar is the extra voltage a cold morning adds, about 10% at −10 °C. On my deck in January that cap is real. Every bar here keeps its cap under the line, the Renogy 590 W rigid at 52.63 V included.
The manual has a second limit the chart cannot draw. Total short-circuit current, Isc on the same label, has to stay within 13 amps. Two panels wired in parallel, positive to positive and negative to negative, add their current. Add the Isc figures before you add the panels.
Point at a bar and it names its panel. If yours isn't in the catalogue, type the Voc off its label into the field and the chart draws it in.
Swipe sideways for the whole line-up.
Hover or tap a bar for the panel’s name and its verdict.

What we'd buy
The best solar panel for the DELTA 3 Max
Picked by the numbers on this station, not by brand.
Best value

About $1.66 for every watt it actually delivers here. 3 panels deliver 326 W.
Best to carry

144 W from a 8.82 lb panel, the most delivered watts per pound.
A day on solar
How long the DELTA 3 Max takes to charge on solar
About four hours, with the input full. Five sets get it there, and the smallest of them is two panels. The list below names them.
One panel is the likelier case. A single 100 W panel gives about 72 W in real sun, and at 72 W this battery needs about twenty-eight hours. A 200 W panel gives 144 W and halves that to about fourteen.
A good day has 3 to 6 hours of sun that strong. The 200 W panel is a several-day job and the 100 W panel is closer to a week. On my deck in January the sun drops behind the pines by mid-afternoon. I'd treat a lone 100 W panel as a trickle charger there and plan the weekend around the wall outlet. The system builder works out your state and month.
Hours of good sun, from empty. Where you live and the month decide how many of those a day gives; the system builder works it out.
Every panel that fits
Solar panels compatible with the DELTA 3 Max
Thirty-one fit, eight of them EcoFlow's own. For each one: the cable that reaches the XT60i socket, what one panel delivers in good sun, and the most the DELTA 3 Max will take from a set. The cable column earns its place. The box holds the station, an AC charging cable and the manuals, and nothing that connects to a panel. Eleven of the thirty-one want an MC4 adapter, MC4 being the weatherproof pair of plugs on the back of most rigid panels. Sorted by delivered watts.

Own a panel that isn't in the line-up?
Type its voltage into the door chart above for the height test, then put the rest of the label into the panel checker, already set to the DELTA 3 Max, for current and plug too. Or build the whole system to see how it keeps up where you live.
The plain answers
How long does the DELTA 3 Max take to charge on solar?
One 100 W panel delivers about 72 W in good sun and refills the 2048 Wh battery from empty in about 28.4 hours.
One 200 W panel delivers about 144 W in good sun and refills the 2048 Wh battery from empty in about 14.2 hours.
At its 500 W solar limit it refills in about 4.1 hours. More panel watts than that won't charge it any faster.
A day gives three to six hours of sun that good, depending on season and place, so one 100 W panel takes 5 to 10 days to fill it. The system builder works it out for your state and month.
What adapter does the DELTA 3 Max need for solar?
Every panel we track needs a cable to reach its XT60i input. None comes in the box.
The cables they need: MC4 to XT60i (11 panels), DC8020 to XT60i (4 panels), Anderson to XT60i (3 panels), DC5521 to XT60i (2 panels) and XT60 to XT60i (1 panel).
10 panels don't have a named plug from their maker, so check the lead before you buy a cable.
Can you use non-EcoFlow solar panels with the DELTA 3 Max?
Yes. What decides it is the panel's voltage and plug, not the brand. 23 panels from Renogy, Jackery, Anker SOLIX, BLUETTI, Eco-Worthy and Rich Solar work with it, as long as the panel stays under 60 V on a cold morning and starts above 11 V.
The strongest single panels here are the Renogy 590W N-Type Bifacial (425 W delivered) and the Jackery SolarSaga 500 X (360 W delivered).
Can you connect two solar panels to the DELTA 3 Max?
Yes, joined into one input with a series or parallel cable.
Don't wire two BLUETTI PV100 FX Flexible panels in series: together they would pass its 60 V limit. Parallel them instead.
Past 500 W delivered, more panels only help on cloudy days.
What is the DELTA 3 Max's solar input?
DC/Solar Input Port: 11–60 V, up to 13 A, 500 W.
Input limits from EcoFlow's documents, checked 2026-09-18 (source). Delivered watts assume 72% of the panel's rating in good sun.
