EcoFlow DELTA 3 Ultra Plus

Three kilowatt-hours, 74 pounds, and twice the Ultra’s solar appetite on the same tank: the DELTA 3 Ultra Plus tops the DELTA 3 line with 32 wins in 42 head-to-heads, unbeaten by any Anker. A weekend camp takes four fifths of the tank. Reviewers agree on one word, quiet, and mean it under load, where the older DELTAs got loud.

How to read this

  • Usual is the price the unit carried most of the time, tested for how long it held rather than how often we looked. A weekend promotion cannot move it.
  • Best is the lowest price we have read on the store itself. Typed coupon codes, member-only prices and marketplace listings are not counted; anything applied automatically at checkout is.
  • A gap in the line is a day we could not read a price. We never draw across one, and we never show the store’s own “was” price.

Raw counts reward whoever writes most, and people write when something breaks. Here each report is weighted by what the complaint costs a buyer (a failure outranks an app gripe) and by its evidence (a measured owner report outranks a shopper’s opinion), then compared with every report in the corpus.

From the test desk

  • The Ultra Plus wins every scenario it's tested against — Weekend Camping, the 8-Hour Blackout, CPAP Overnight, Remote Workday, and Tailgate Party — and even where nothing wins outright, Van Life Daily, it comes closer,…

  • Buy the DELTA 3 Ultra Plus if you need to run more than one appliance at once, ride out a multi-day outage, or want headroom for a fridge or window AC.

  • Buy the Ultra Plus if your real loads land anywhere near a full camping weekend (2,100Wh) or you want real headroom on an 8-hour blackout; buy the Max Plus if $500 and 26.5 lbs matter more than that headroom.

Questions people ask

Is the DELTA 3 Ultra Plus loud?

No. Despite far higher output, reviewers describe it running quieter than EcoFlow's own premium DELTA Pro Ultra line even under heavy load [B1][B2], and its rated 30dBA is 9dBA quieter than the 1000 Air's own 39dBA rating.

From ecoflow delta 3 1000 air vs ecoflow delta 3 ultra plus

Is the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Ultra Plus worth the extra money over the RIVER 3 MAX PLUS?

If you'll use the extra capacity, a weekend away, a multi-day outage, a full remote workday, then yes: it's actually the cheaper unit per kWh over its lifetime, at $0.12 against the River's $0.14. If your real load is a CPAP overnight or a single tailgate afternoon, the extra money buys headroom you won't use, and the River is the better buy at $359.

From ecoflow delta 3 ultra plus vs ecoflow river 3 max plus

How much does the EcoFlow RIVER 3 MAX PLUS weigh compared to the DELTA 3 Ultra Plus?

The River weighs 20.8 lbs; the Ultra Plus weighs 77.2 lbs, nearly 3.7 times as much. That's not the Ultra Plus being inefficient. It's carrying roughly 3.6 times the energy, and the watt-hours per pound land within about 4% of each other on both units.

From ecoflow delta 3 ultra plus vs ecoflow river 3 max plus

What's actually different between the DELTA 3 Max Plus and the DELTA 3 Ultra Plus?

Less than the $500 price gap suggests. Cost per watt-hour ($0.49), cost per lifetime kilowatt-hour ($0.12), cycle life (4,000), surge ratio (2.0x), and switchover speed (10ms) are identical on both. The real differences are capacity (2,048Wh against 3,072Wh), continuous output (3,000W against 3,600W), solar ceiling (1,000W against 1,600W), and weight (50.7 lbs against 77.2).

From ecoflow delta 3 max plus vs ecoflow delta 3 ultra plus

Is the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Ultra Plus worth $800 more than the Jackery Explorer 1500 v2?

Only if you'll use the extra capacity. Cost per lifetime kWh is basically tied between them — 12 cents for the Ultra Plus, 11 for the Explorer — so the $800 doesn't buy efficiency, it buys exactly double the battery (3,072Wh against 1,536Wh) and a path to add more later. If your sessions stay under about 1,000Wh, that extra capacity goes unused and the gap isn't worth paying for.
