The Power Station Database
A hand-maintained dataset of 19 verified spec fields for 103 portable power stations across 6 brand ecosystems — the same database that powers every comparison on this site. The aggregate figures below are free to quote; the full row-level dataset is available on request.
How these numbers are sourced and verified is documented on our methodology page.

Median rated cycles, LFP vs NMC
- The median portable power station sells for $0.64 per watt-hour of rated capacity as of July 2026.
- 89.3% of tracked models (92 of 103) use LFP (LiFePO4) battery chemistry; 9.7% (10) use NMC.¹
- The median unit weighs 26.7 lbs per kWh of rated capacity.
- LFP models carry a median manufacturer cycle-life rating of 3,500 cycles — versus 500 for NMC models, a 7× gap.
¹ The remaining 1 unit uses Sodium-ion chemistry. Price medians exclude 3 expansion-battery bundle SKUs (EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra + 1 Battery; EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra + 2 Batteries; Jackery Explorer 5000 Plus Double Kit) whose $/Wh reflects add-on battery pricing rather than the base unit.
Price per Watt-Hour by Capacity Class
The same capacity classes we use to rate units sitewide. Bigger isn't linearly cheaper: mid-size units are the value sweet spot, and the smallest and largest classes both carry a premium.
| Capacity class | Range | Models | Median $/Wh |
|---|---|---|---|
| Personal | 0–500 Wh | 20 | $0.875 |
| Compact | 500–1,000 Wh | 18 | $0.581 |
| Everyday | 1,000–2,000 Wh | 19 | $0.585 |
| Large | 2,000–3,500 Wh | 21 | $0.488 |
| Home Backup | 3,500–7,000 Wh | 11 | $0.667 |
| Whole-Home / Off-Grid | 7,000+ Wh | 11 | $0.872 |

| Goal Zero | 13 | $700 | 677 Wh | $1.006 | 19.3 lbs |
| Jackery | 14 | $749 | 1,400 Wh | $0.582 | 32 lbs |
The Full Dataset
The aggregates above are drawn from a complete, row-level catalog we maintain by hand. We don't publish the full file for open download — it's the product of ongoing verification work, and handing the entire catalog to anyone by default would simply arm competing comparison sites. Instead we share it directly, case by case.
What you get on request
- One row per model for all 103 tracked units, with 19 spec fields each — capacity, output, chemistry, cycle life, weight, and current list price.
- Our derived value metrics ($/Wh, Wh/lb), clearly marked as computed rather than manufacturer-stated.
- Delivered as CSV or JSON, whichever suits your project.
