What solar panels work with the RIVER 3 PLUS?

What's actually different between the RIVER 3 MAX and RIVER 3 PLUS?
Mainly battery capacity and price. The MAX holds 572Wh for $319; the PLUS holds 286Wh for $259 but has a higher 200W solar input against the MAX's 110W. Weight, output, surge, cycle life, and warranty are identical on both.
Is the RIVER 3 PLUS a worse deal than the MAX?
Per watt-hour, yes — $.98 against the MAX's $.56. But it's a smaller unit at a lower price, not a defective one. If 286Wh genuinely covers your typical use, the PLUS is a legitimate way to spend $60 less.
Can the RIVER 3 PLUS run a CPAP all night?
Not on its own. A CPAP overnight needs about 320Wh, more than the PLUS's 286Wh base capacity, while the MAX covers it comfortably at 66% of its tank. The PLUS would need an expansion battery to close that gap.
Is the EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus basically a smaller RIVER 2 Pro?
No, it's a different generation with its own upgrades. The Plus adds true expansion-battery support and a beefed-up inverter and solar input over the base RIVER 3 [B1], plus a much quieter fan and a faster UPS switchover than the RIVER 2 Pro. What it doesn't have is the Pro's bigger base battery: 286Wh against 768Wh, 482Wh less to start.
Can the RIVER 3 Plus's expansion battery make up for its smaller base capacity?
Only if you need more than 768Wh. The Plus starts at 286Wh, well under the Pro's fixed 768Wh, so a first expansion battery mostly closes that 482Wh gap rather than growing past it. Below a 768Wh need, the Pro's larger fixed battery gets you there more directly and without the extra purchase.
