Any panel between 30 V and 450 V, through its MC4 / Proprietary inputs (2), up to 5600 W. 30 of the 39 panels we track work with it; 1 EcoFlow panel plugs straight in, the rest need an adapter cable. What's the difference between the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra and the DELTA Pro Ultra X?
The X is bigger on every power spec: 12,288Wh against 6,144Wh, 12,000W continuous against 7,200W, and 45,000W of surge against 10,800W. The Pro Ultra keeps the 10-year warranty (the X has 5), the no-break UPS classification (the X is rated no worse than 10ms), and an RV 30A outlet the X's record doesn't list. The X costs $7,999 against the Pro Ultra's $4,199.
Is the DELTA Pro Ultra X worth the extra money?
Only if your house needs more than 7,200W at once or several days of reserve. Per lifetime kilowatt-hour the two land within a cent, but that only matters if you cycle the battery daily for years. For backup duty you're paying $3,800 for the bigger inverter and twice the battery, and giving up five years of warranty.
Can the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra run central air?
Owner reviews report the Pro Ultra's 7,200W inverter running a 3-ton central AC [A4]. EcoFlow rates the X's 12,000W base for a 5-ton unit alongside the rest of the house [B1]. Check your condenser's tonnage and startup draw against the two surge ceilings, 10,800W and 45,000W, before you choose.
Can I expand the DELTA Pro Ultra instead of buying the X?
For hours, yes: the Pro Ultra takes EcoFlow expansion batteries, and EcoFlow lists the system to 90kWh [A1]. For watts, no. Added batteries don't change the 7,200W rating of the inverter you bought, so if you need the X's output, more packs on a Pro Ultra won't get you there.
Why does the DELTA Pro Ultra X have a shorter warranty than the Pro Ultra?
Nothing in our research explains it; our record simply carries 10 years for the Pro Ultra and 5 for the X. The practical effect is that the dearer system comes with half the cover. For a home that cycles it daily, the X's term ends about halfway through the 9.6 years it takes to use 3,500 cycles at one a day.
