That's the design, not a defect: it buys weight, silence, and efficiency for phone, laptop, camera, and 12V-CPAP loads. The RIVER 3 230 carries a real inverter behind 2 AC outlets, so it plays in both worlds. Decide which side of that line your gear lives on before weighing anything else on this page.
