Ten cents against nineteen. Over its 6,000 rated cycles the $1,699 Apex 300 delivers a kilowatt-hour for about half what the $7,999 DELTA Pro Ultra X does over its 3,500. The $6,300 between them is quantity, but no longer quantity at the same rate.

Which kills the usual comparison. Neither unit is overpriced against the other, so price can't settle this, and the spec that can is the one number expansion never touches: 3,840W continuous on the Apex against 12,000W on the DELTA. Bolt batteries onto the Apex all afternoon and it still holds 3,840W.

Our answer is the Apex 300, with a condition attached. It clears five of the six load scenarios here, and one of those five, a 2,100Wh camping weekend, it clears by 250Wh. That's not a margin, it's a rounding error, and you should know it before you spend anything. But if your load list has something on it above 3,840W, this stops being close and the DELTA is the only one of the two still in the conversation.

The DELTA Pro Ultra X at 298.7 lbs isn't a lift in any sense: it gets positioned, wired in, and left. Ask where it goes and who puts it there before you ask what it weighs.

Both units carry the same five-year warranty, and neither company commits to much after it lapses: EcoFlow states no out-of-warranty parts or service, and BLUETTI has no spare-parts policy for some older models. On a box you wire into a building and expect to keep for a decade, that's the line to read twice. Day to day the difference is response time and channel. EcoFlow answers a US phone number with polarized results; BLUETTI answers email on China hours and is the more inconsistent of the two, though buying direct from them tends to produce better outcomes. Everything in our file traces back to EcoFlow's own material or to reviews written from it: 12kW continuous across every circuit including a 5-ton ACA1, a base of two 6,144Wh LFP packsA2, EV-grade cells under 24/7 BMS supervision with solar input to 10kWA3, a quick-connect install and a CES 2026 Innovation Award at $7,999A4. Those are capability claims, and capability claims are the thing manufacturers are best at. Not one of them is a report of the system still behaving in month nine.

Be precise about which way that absence cuts. It is not evidence the system is trouble-free, and it isn't evidence against it either. On a $7,999 purchase with an installation attached, it means you are an early adopter of a nearly unreviewed platform, and the sensible hedge is buying through a channel whose return policy you would actually be willing to use.

The rest reads like early reviews of a well-built box. Fans described as tame next to units that sound like small jet enginesB5. And if you need a 4,685Wh van-life day on a tight budget, neither base unit answers it: the Apex is 2,335Wh short and the DELTA is a house-scale installation. Price the Apex plus expansion batteries as one purchase and compare that against a wired van system before you commit to either.

Take the Apex 300. It's about half the cost per kilowatt-hour over its life, a quarter of the price today, and it handles five of the six loads on this page, with the one miss covered by expansion batteries BLUETTI already sells. The DELTA Pro Ultra X simply sells more energy, at close to twice the rate per lifetime kilowatt-hour, which is exactly why buying it without a load above 3,840W on your list is $7,999 spent on headroom you'll never cycle.

So do the boring thing before you do the expensive one and add up what has to run at the same moment. Under 3,840W, the Apex was always the answer and everything above it on this page is a distraction. Over 3,840W, the Apex was never in the running, and no amount of expansion changes that. Because it holds four and a half times as much energy — though the two aren't priced at the same rate. Over its rated 3,500 cycles the DELTA works out to 19 cents per kilowatt-hour delivered, against 10 cents for the Apex 300 over its 6,000. You're buying a much bigger quantity, at close to twice the price per kilowatt-hour.

Can the Apex 300 run a whole house?

It runs 3,840W continuously with 7,680W of surge, which handles a normal set of household essentials but is nowhere near a full panel. The DELTA Pro Ultra X runs 12,000W with 45,000W of surge and is built for every circuit including a 5-ton AC. The honest test is to add up what has to run simultaneously: if that number is over 3,840W, the Apex was never a candidate.

Can I just buy an Apex 300 now and expand it up to DELTA territory later?

Not economically, and not in the dimension that matters. Expansion batteries add hours, not watts, so the inverter stays at 3,840W. Adding output means a second Apex plus BLUETTI's parallel box at around $699, which comes to $4,097 for 5,529.6Wh, about 74 cents a watt-hour against the DELTA's 65, and still only 7,680W continuous. If you already know you'll need the bigger system, buying it twice is the expensive route.

How much can the DELTA Pro Ultra X actually expand to?

It scales by adding inverters as well as batteries, so the ceiling depends on the configuration you buy, and the sources in our research file give different top-end figures. We won't quote one we can't verify. If maximum capacity is the reason you're choosing this system, ask EcoFlow to state the ceiling for your specific inverter and battery count in writing before you order.

Does the Apex 300 have USB and DC ports built in?

Our spec sheet lists 100W USB-C, but reviewers who physically handled the unit report no USB or DC on the face and a roughly $300 BLUETTI hub to add them. We can't reconcile those two accounts, so we've built no part of this comparison on ports.
