EcoFlow DELTA 3 Ultra Plus vs BLUETTI Apex 200
The Ultra Plus charges extra for expansion and a bigger solar input, the two things the Apex 200 does better, so the Plus earns its place only if you want 512Wh more and a full 3,600W from one box on the first night.

Gunnerβs take
Whole-Home Backup Tester
EcoFlow built the DELTA 3 Ultra Plus by giving the DELTA 3 Ultra a bigger solar input and an expansion port. Those are the two ideas the Apex 200 was designed around. So this page puts EcoFlow's version of BLUETTI's pitch against BLUETTI's own, and BLUETTI's takes 3,000W of solar to the Plus's 1,600W.
The Plus keeps two real edges. It holds 3,072Wh to the Apex's 2,560Wh, and it runs 3,600W from one box, where the Apex reaches 3,600W only with a battery addedB2. EcoFlow also publishes a 7,200W surge rating for it. BLUETTI hasn't published one for the Apex 200.
I'd buy the Apex 200 and put part of the $500 toward panels. If you are going to grow either of these, the Apex is the better thing to grow.
What the Numbers Reveal
Each conclusion stated first β the numbers behind it on one line, the full analysis below.
solar input
With a full array, the Apex refills in about the time BLUETTI quotes, under an hour to 80%B5, while the Plus at its 1,600W limit needs a good stretch of strong sun to fill its bigger battery. On the third day of an outage, the unit that is full again by mid-morning is the one keeping the freezer cold.
Ultra Plus solar input: 1,600W into 3,072WhApex 200 solar input: 3,000W into 2,560Wh, 2,000W of it through a 60 to 280V high-voltage inputB5BLUETTI quotes about 50 minutes to 80% with both solar inputs at full outputB5
Why it mattersAnyone who owns, or plans to buy, more than 1,600W of panels should take the Apex.
continuous output
The Plus's base-box advantages, 512Wh and 400W, hold only for as long as you don't expand. Once you buy a battery, you are comparing two 3,600W systems, and the Apex's has the 3,000W solar input and the base unit 14.8 lb lighter.
Both units accept expansion batteriesApex 200: 3,200W alone, 3,600W once an expansion battery is attachedB2Ultra Plus: 3,600W continuous, 74.3 lb; Apex 200: 59.5 lb
Why it mattersIf the expansion port is why the Plus caught your eye, the Apex is the stronger machine to expand.
For a buyer who will never add a battery, the 512Wh decides the weekend and the blackout here, and the published surge turns a fridge compressor's start into a known quantity. That buyer is paying for an expansion port they won't use, though.
Weekend Camping (2,100Wh): Ultra Plus finishes with 511Wh left, Apex 200 with 76Wh8-Hour Blackout: Ultra Plus finishes with 966Wh left, Apex 200 with 531WhUltra Plus surge: 7,200W published; Apex 200 surge unpublished
Why it mattersIf you'll never expand, compare the Plus against EcoFlow's plain DELTA 3 Ultra, which leaves the port off, before you compare it with the Apex.
The specific dimensions that decide these two units β everything else is a tie.
Growth Path
Selected because: Both take extra batteries, so the question is which one grows into the better system.
solar input
Both of these grow, which leaves the Plus without the argument a sealed rival would hand it. What decides it is what feeds the bank. The Apex takes 3,000W of solar to the Plus's 1,600W, and its high-voltage input accepts 60 to 280VB5, so a long string of panels at the far end of a property can reach it over a long cable run with little lossB16.
BLUETTI's page puts one B500K at 7.68 kWh for the Apex system and six at 33.28 kWhB9. A bigger bank behind a smaller solar input refills slowly, and the Apex is the one whose input grows with it.
Your Life, Your Pick
Selected because: With nothing added, the Plus's extra 512Wh takes the weekend and the blackout.
This is the Plus's ground. A 2,100Wh weekend leaves the Apex with 76Wh, which leaves almost nothing for the evening that goes longer than planned. The Plus comes home with 511Wh, and through an 8-hour blackout it keeps 966Wh to the Apex's 531Wh.
The lighter rows tie. A CPAP night, a workday and a tailgate barely dent either battery. A van-life day at 4,685Wh beats both until you add a battery, and that runs back to the growth question.
Portability & Form Factor
Selected because: Each is a one-person lift, and 14.8 lb separates them.
weight
The Plus weighs 74.3 lb, the Apex 59.5 lb with a built-in handle on each sideB8. Down basement stairs I'd want a second person on the Plus and wouldn't bother for the Apex.
Lifetime Value
Selected because: A 6,000-cycle rating and the lower price make the Apex the cheaper of the two to own per kWh.
cost / lifetime kWh
The Apex works out to $0.07 per lifetime kWh against the Plus's $0.13, about half as much. Its 6,000-cycle rating does most of that work, and the lower price does the rest.
The cycles matter to a daily solar user, 16.4 years at one cycle a day against 11. A unit kept full for storms reaches neither, and for that owner the price gap alone carries the point.

DELTA 3 Ultra Plus
The Ultra Plus wins this one. It comes home from a 2,100Wh weekend with 511Wh left, while the Apex 200 makes it with 76Wh, close enough to empty that a cold night would finish it.

CPAP Overnight
Sleep therapy without interruption β the #1 medical use case
Either unit
A CPAP is about 40W for eight hours, so both of these cover the night several times over β capacity isn't the question here. What would separate them is fan noise, but Apex 200 doesn't publish a figure, so there's nothing to hold it to. Buy on price, weight, and whether you can live with a fan you haven't heard.

Conclusion
November 4, 2026
Verdict: the BLUETTI Apex 200
Buy the Apex 200. The Ultra Plus is EcoFlow's DELTA 3 Ultra with a larger solar input and an expansion port, and the Apex 200 already has both: 3,000W of solar to the Plus's 1,600W, room for up to six batteriesB9, 14.8 lb less to carry and $500 less to buy. The Plus answers with 512Wh more in the base box, 3,600W without an add-on and a published 7,200W surge rating. Take the Plus if all of that has to be there on the first night and a battery isn't on your list.

Each unit's star score is a category ranking, not customer reviews β no buyer opinions feed it. We score every station on size-independent quality (value, output, portability, endurance, ports, warranty, and more), then percentile-rank it against the other units in its capacity class, so a class-leading compact unit and a class-leading whole-home unit can both earn 5β . Here, DELTA 3 Ultra Plus rates 4.9/5 (93rd percentile of 29 Large-class units), and Apex 200 rates 5.0/5 (99th percentile of 29 Large-class units).
How the class ranking is computed βTest Notes & Caveats
Hidden gotchas and advantages we spotted that you won't find on the product page.
DELTA 3 Ultra Plus: 74.3 lbs Is a Commitment
At 74.3 lbs, this is manageable but not fun to move. That's heavier than a large checked suitcase. How much it costs you depends on whether it rolls β wheels and a telescoping handle change the job completely at this weight, and our spec record doesn't track them, so look at the product photos before you plan on carrying it from the car.
UPS Switchover: β€10ms vs β€15ms
Both list a UPS mode, at different rated speeds. The DELTA 3 Ultra Plus is rated β€10ms β quick enough on paper that desktop PCs and routers should ride through, treating that as the rating it is. The Apex 200 is rated β€15ms β fine on paper for routers and most electronics; the fussiest PC power supplies sit right at this line. If a computer with unsaved work is the thing being protected, the stated class is worth the attention; nothing here is a lab result.
Battery Lifespan in Real Years
The Apex 200 is rated for 6,000 cycles and the Ultra Plus for 4,000. At one cycle a day that is 16.4 years against 11. A unit kept full and waiting for storms will reach neither, so this counts mainly for daily solar users.
Apex 200: Noise Level Not Disclosed
The DELTA 3 Ultra Plus publishes its noise level (30dB); the Apex 200 doesn't publish one. That isn't evidence the Apex 200 is louder β it means there's no figure to hold it to, and no way to compare the two on this without hearing them. If you're buying for a bedroom, a CPAP, or an apartment, treat the DELTA 3 Ultra Plus's 30dB as the only published number on the table β a spec-sheet figure, not a measurement β and look for hands-on reports of the Apex 200 before deciding.

Brand trust
EcoFlow
Ecosystem
Largest in portable power β 12-15 models across DELTA Pro, DELTA 3, and RIVER 3 series, plus solar panels and smart home panels
Support
US-based phone/email/chat support (1-800-368-8604). Experiences are polarized β many report hassle-free prepaid-label replacements, but others report long waits and refurbished units sent for new claims. Pro tip: buying from Costco or Amazon gives you a stronger return safety net.
Community
Largest community in the space β Reddit r/Ecoflow_community (~31K members), multiple Facebook groups, and an official community forum
App experience
Rated 4.6/5 iOS (~8,400 ratings) Β· 4.2/5 Android (~17,000 ratings)
Unique strength
Fastest-charging technology (X-Stream), deepest product ecosystem, and most active innovation cadence. At the top of the range sit two whole-home paths: the TITAN line, one 5 kWh unit that grows to 30 kWh, and the DELTA Pro Ultra platform, which stacks batteries and inverters further β flagship paths, not line-wide features.
Worth knowing
Tested subscription paywalls for advanced app features in early 2025 before community backlash paused the plan. No parts or service offered out of warranty.
BLUETTI
Ecosystem
One of the broadest lineups β 15-20+ models from budget (AC2A) to flagship portable (Apex 300, 2764.8Wh). Includes specialized products: vehicle solar hubs, sodium-ion cold-weather units, and balcony storage systems.
Support
The most inconsistent support in the space. Heavily email-based with China timezone delays. Some users get smooth, efficient service; others report weeks of troubleshooting runarounds, being offered discounts on new units instead of repairs, and confusing third-party purchase claim processes. Buying direct from Bluetti's website tends to produce better support outcomes.
Community
Active and growing β Reddit r/bluetti has a dedicated community. Second-largest after EcoFlow in engagement.
App experience
Rated 4.5/5 iOS and Android β tied for best app experience in the category. V3.0 UI redesign was well-received.
Unique strength
Among the best capacity-to-price ratios available β several Elite and Apex units are the lowest $/Wh in the catalog. Widest product diversity including industry-firsts like sodium-ion cold-weather units and dual solar+alternator vehicle hubs. LFP across the rest of the range, though rated cycle life spans 2,500 (EB3A) to 6,000, and it varies WITHIN the Elite range rather than tracking it β the Elite 300 and Elite 200 V2 are rated 6,000 while the Elite 30 V2, Elite 10 Mini, Elite 320 and Elite 400 are rated 3,000+ and the Elite 100 V2 4,000+, so check the specific model. Dual-voltage (120V/240V) in flagships.
Worth knowing
Customer support inconsistency is the #1 risk factor. Older/discontinued units may become unrepairable β no spare parts policy for some models. Some reports of erratic communication from support agents.
Analyst note
EcoFlow positions itself as a mid-to-premium brand with stronger support infrastructure, while BLUETTI competes on value. The question is whether the EcoFlow ecosystem and support premium is worth it for your use case.
Growth path
DELTA 3 Ultra Plus
EXPANDABLESupports EcoFlow expansion batteries, so you can add capacity later without replacing the base unit β useful if your needs may climb past 3,072Wh.
Accepts up to 1,600W of solar. Enough for a serious multi-panel array.
Adequate ports for most setups, but heavy users may want a power strip.
Expansion batteries are EcoFlow-specific. You're investing in the EcoFlow ecosystem.
Apex 200
EXPANDABLESupports BLUETTI expansion batteries, so you can add capacity later without replacing the base unit β useful if your needs may climb past 2,560Wh.
Accepts up to 3,000W of solar. Enough for a serious multi-panel array.
Adequate ports for most setups, but heavy users may want a power strip.
Expansion batteries are BLUETTI-specific. You're investing in the BLUETTI ecosystem.
Realistic full solar rechargeat 70% of rated panel output β see methodology
Analyst note
Both expand, but the Apex 200's higher solar ceiling (3,000W vs 1,600W) gives it the stronger off-grid growth path β more panels can feed a bigger bank as it grows.
What Owners Report

The build draws praise for feeling substantialA8, and one review notes a 0.2m drop rating and moisture resistance against overnight dewA14.
The catches are physical. One reviewer called its 74 pounds thunderousA9, another had to shade the screen with cupped hands in sunA7, and one found it drops the 30A RV port first when overloadedA3.

β3,600 W is exactly what a 30 A, 120 V RV outlet can pass (120 Γ 30). Alone, the Apex 200's 3,200 W stops 400 W short of a full TT-30 outlet, which shows only when two large loads (an RV air conditioner and a microwave, say) run together.β

βThe Apex 300's solar inputs top out at 60 V, so an array a long cable run from the house either loses power in the cable or needs BLUETTI's $699 Solar X 4K. The Apex 200's 60β280 V high-voltage input takes the same panels wired for more volts and less current, in the base unit.β

Who Should Buy Which
Buy the DELTA 3 Ultra Plus if youβ¦
- βYou want the outage covered from one box on the first night, with 3,072Wh on hand and a published 7,200W surge rating for the fridge compressor.
- βYou run a travel trailer off its 30 A outlet and want the whole 3,600W without buying a battery firstB15.
- βYou want it as a desk UPS, where EcoFlow's switchover of no worse than 10ms beats the Apex 200's 15ms or lessB10.
- βYou want EcoFlow's 5-year warranty term in writing.
Buy the Apex 200 if youβ¦
- βYou are starting a home or cabin bank you'll add to, and want a base that takes up to six batteriesB9 and 3,000W of solar.
- βYour array sits far from the house and you want to feed it at up to 280VB5B16.
- βYou cycle off solar every day, where 6,000 cycles pays off.
- βYou'll be the one carrying it, and 14.8 lb matters on the stairs.
If neither fits
If you need 240 V for a well pump, a dryer or a panel feed, skip both: each is 120 V only, and BLUETTI points 240 V buyers to the Apex 300B2. Look at a split-phase home system instead.
The Bottom Line
I'd buy the Apex 200. What the Plus adds to the DELTA 3 Ultra is expansion and solar, and the Apex brings 3,000W of solar to the Plus's 1,600W with up to six batteries behind itB9, at 14.8 lb less.
Take the Ultra Plus only if the first night matters more than the next few years. Its 512Wh head start and full 3,600W from one box are real, and the output edge lasts until the Apex gets its first batteryB2.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers drawn from the spec record and cited owner research.
Is the DELTA 3 Ultra Plus or BLUETTI Apex 200 better for solar charging?
The Apex 200. It accepts 3,000W of solar, 2,000W through a 60 to 280V high-voltage input and 1,000W through an XT60. The DELTA 3 Ultra Plus accepts 1,600W.
Do both the DELTA 3 Ultra Plus and the Apex 200 take expansion batteries?
Yes. The Apex 200 takes up to six B300K or B500K batteries, which BLUETTI puts at 33.28 kWh with six B500Ks. Adding a battery also raises the Apex's output from 3,200W to 3,600W, which the Ultra Plus delivers on its own.
Which is better in a power outage, the Ultra Plus or the Apex 200?
Out of the box, the Ultra Plus. It holds 3,072Wh to the Apex 200's 2,560Wh and finishes an 8-hour blackout with 966Wh left against 531Wh. For a multi-day outage with panels on the roof, the Apex's 3,000W solar input refills it faster.
How much do the DELTA 3 Ultra Plus and Apex 200 weigh?
The Ultra Plus weighs 74.3 lb and the Apex 200 weighs 59.5 lb, a 14.8 lb difference. The Apex has a built-in handle on each side.
Does the BLUETTI Apex 200 have a UPS mode?
Yes. BLUETTI lists a UPS mode that is off by default and switched on in its app. BLUETTI's US store prints a switchover of 15ms or less.
