EcoFlow has sold out the 512Wh RIVER 2 Max in every version. In its place is the RIVER 2 Max 500, the same unit with a slightly smaller battery. So if you're shopping, the real question is the DELTA 3 Classic against that replacement. What this page says about the RIVER 2 Max still describes it closely.
The pair is easy to sum up. The Classic has twice the battery and weighs twice as much, at 26.7 lb to the RIVER's 13.4. Both carry a five-year warranty, and both use cells rated for 3,000 cycles, where a cycle is one full drain and refill.
The bigger gap is the inverter, the part that turns battery power into wall-style AC. The Classic's is rated 1,800W. The RIVER's is 500W.
