Head-to-head test
EcoFlow DELTA 3 1500 vs DJI Power 2000
EcoFlow stopped making one of these, so the only live question left is whether the Power 2000's extra 512Wh and 1,800W of solar intake are worth carrying 12.5 lb more and giving up a 12V socket.

Spec deltas
EcoFlow has folded the DELTA 3 1500 out of its range. Its product page forwards to the base DELTA 3, the one listing left is a solar bundle that's sold out, and nothing in EcoFlow's current line sits where the 1500 did. So if you came here to pick between these two, the pick has already been made for you: the DJI Power 2000 is the one still in production, and the DELTA 3 Max is EcoFlow's nearest live equivalent.
That isn't a consolation prize. The Power 2000 is the stronger box on the numbers that decide these pages: 2,048Wh of battery against 1,536Wh, 3,000W of continuous output against 1,800W, and a solar ceiling of 1,800W against 500W. Across the six load profiles this site models, it takes three outright, ties the CPAP night, and neither unit covers the other two.
The DELTA 3 1500's specs are still true, and if you own one or you've found leftover retailer stock, that's why this page exists. It's 12.5 lb lighter, it carries a 12V car socket the Power 2000's record doesn't, and it has six AC outlets to the DJI's four. What it no longer has is a maker still making it.
What the Numbers Reveal
Each conclusion stated first — the numbers behind it on one line, the full analysis below.
Capacity
But 96Wh left means 94% of the pack spent, which quietly turns the recharge spec into the backup spec. The Power 2000 takes up to 1,800W of solar against the DELTA 3 1500's 500W, and reviewers put a full solar charge at roughly 75 minutesB1. An outage that runs past one night is won by whichever unit refills between them, not by whichever one started 512Wh ahead.
DELTA 3 1500: 1,536Wh rated, 1,306Wh usable against the flat 85% derate these profiles applyDJI Power 2000: 2,048Wh rated, 1,741Wh usableThe 8-hour blackout profile asks for 1,645Wh
Why it mattersIf you're buying for outages rather than weekends, buy the input wattage and let the capacity follow.
continuous output
Neither inverter is the binding constraint on anything this page models, since a 400W startup is under a quarter of the smaller unit's continuous rating. DJI publishes no peak figure at all, so the only evidence on that side is reviewers reporting it handling surges consistently and running everything they put on itB4. What actually runs out on both of these is watt-hours.
DELTA 3 1500: 1,800W continuous, 3,600W published peak, exactly doubleDJI Power 2000: 3,000W continuous, with no surge headroom published above itThe heaviest startup peak in any of the six profiles here is 400W, at the tailgate
Why it mattersAnyone shopping the surge column should be shopping the capacity column instead, unless the load is 240V, which neither of these offers.
That matters more here than it would on most units, because the field record on this SKU is thin and not flattering. Coverage was sparse enough that our researcher could only paraphrase indexed snippets instead of quoting ownersA0, and what exists is one forum poster describing a neighbor who lost three DELTA 3 1500 units in about eight monthsA1 and a broader thread sense that the DELTA 3 line drew more failure reports than the DELTA 2A2. Posters also read the 1500 as a hybrid, DELTA 2 cutover electronics in a new caseA3.
EcoFlow's record: no parts or service offered out of warrantyThe DELTA 3 1500 has left EcoFlow's rangeOur record carries a 5-year term on it
Why it mattersTreat clearance stock as a gamble on a warranty clock, not as a bargain on a power station.
weight
That's the case against our own pick, and it holds only where capacity doesn't. On the day-trip loads, 38% used at the tailgate and 18% on a CPAP night, the Power 2000 is hauling 512Wh you won't touch and 12.5 lb you will. The DJI answers back on the desk: four USB-C ports to two, both lines topping out at 140W.
DELTA 3 1500: 36 lbs, one 12V car socket, six AC outlets, two USB-CDJI Power 2000: 48.5 lbs, zero 12V car sockets on our record, four AC outlets, four USB-CThe tailgate profile asks for 670Wh, which is 38% of the Power 2000's usable pack
Why it mattersIf your use is car camping with 12V gear, don't chase an upgrade from a DELTA 3 1500 you already own. The Power 2000 is the wrong shape for that trip even though it's the better station.
The specific dimensions that decide these two units — everything else is a tie.
Your Life, Your Pick
Selected because: Six load profiles, and the 512Wh between these two changes the answer on exactly one of them.
One line separates these two, and it runs straight through the blackout: 1,645Wh needed, 1,306Wh usable on the DELTA 3 1500, 1,741Wh on the Power 2000. Above that line the DJI wins profiles nobody feels losing, banking 831Wh on a workday where the EcoFlow still banks 396Wh. Below it, neither unit shows up at all.
The two failures are worth reading as a pair. Weekend Camping wants 2,100Wh and the Power 2000 covers 83% of it against the EcoFlow's 62%, which is a planning problem. Van Life Daily wants 4,685Wh and the better of these covers 37%, which is a category problem. One you solve with a panel and a shorter list; the other you solve by shopping somewhere else entirely.
Growth Path
Selected because: Both take expansion batteries, so what separates them is intake: 1,800W of solar into the Power 2000 against 500W into the DELTA 3 1500.
solar input
Both take expansion batteries, so the growth question isn't whether you can add cells. It's how fast you can put energy back into the ones you have, and that's 1,800W against 500W. Add a second battery to the EcoFlow and you've made the refill slower in practice, because the same 500W ceiling now has more to fill; add one to the DJI and the intake still outruns the bank.
The catch DJI doesn't lead with: the Power 2000 has no built-in solar charge controller, so that 1,800W arrives through a separate proprietary adapter you have to buy. Count it in the price of the ceiling before you count the ceiling as an advantage.
Portability & Form Factor
Selected because: 36 lbs against 48.5, and a 12V car socket on the retired unit that our record doesn't show on the Power 2000.
weight
36 lbs is a suitcase. 48.5 is a suitcase you make two trips to avoid. That gap is fixed and you pay it on every load-in, which is why the retired unit still wins the profiles where capacity is irrelevant, and why nobody who bought one for car camping should feel sold a lemon.
Check the 12V column before you commit to the DJI. Our record shows one car socket on the DELTA 3 1500 and none on the Power 2000, and a 12V fridge is exactly the load that turns that blank into a shopping trip. Socket counts go the same way: six AC outlets on the EcoFlow against four. The DJI takes the desk instead, with four USB-C lines to two.
What the Specs Don't Tell You
Selected because: Four cards fire here and not one of them moves the verdict, which is worth knowing before you read them.
rated cycles
Four cards fire and not one of them flips the verdict, which is the finding. UPS is ratings against ratings, ≤10ms against ≤15ms, and both are ceilings rather than stopwatch results. Noise is a published figure against a blank. Warranty is five years against five years.
Cycle life is the one real gap, and it's bigger than the headline. 4,000 rated cycles against 3,000 reads as a third more life, but a cycle moves 2,048Wh on the Power 2000 and 1,536Wh on the DELTA 3 1500, so the lifetime energy is 8,192 kWh against 4,608. Neither pack dies at the limit; both settle near 80% of original capacity and keep working.
Brand Trust
Selected because: Only one of these makers still sells the unit on this page, and EcoFlow's own terms offer no parts or service out of warranty.
EcoFlow has the deepest catalogue in portable power, the fastest charging technology in the category, and the biggest community in it, roughly 31K on its subreddit alone. DJI arrived in 2024 with five power station models, a support network borrowed from the drone business, and no dedicated power-station community at all, so questions end up in r/dji among a quarter-million drone owners.
On almost any other page that's a point for EcoFlow. Here it collides with a line in EcoFlow's own terms: no parts or service out of warranty. A deep catalogue is worth a great deal right up until your model isn't in it.

Neither unit
Neither unit covers this scenario's 2,100Wh: the DELTA 3 1500 comes up 794Wh short (about 62% covered), the Power 2000 359Wh (83%). Either gets you most of the way, so this is a scenario you plan around rather than one you should rule them out for.

Power 2000
1,645Wh is what the profile asks, and 1,741Wh is what the Power 2000 has after the derate, so it finishes with 96Wh left. A win, and a narrow one. The DELTA 3 1500 stops 339Wh short, about 79% of the way through the night. Either way, the unit you want in a real outage is the one that can refill the next morning, which is 1,800W of solar input against 500W.

Either unit
A CPAP is about 40W, so eight hours is 320Wh and both units treat it as a rounding error: 25% of the DELTA 3 1500's usable pack, 18% of the Power 2000's. Capacity decides nothing here. What would decide it is the fan at 3 a.m., and only one of them publishes a number. The Power 2000 lists 30dB, a manufacturer best-case floor that rises under load. The DELTA 3 1500 lists nothing, which isn't evidence it's loud, only that you'd be finding out for yourself at 3 a.m.

Conclusion
September 19, 2026
Verdict: the Power 2000, on Power Score margin
The Power 2000 wins by default and then earns it. EcoFlow has folded the DELTA 3 1500 out of its range, so there is exactly one unit on this page you can still buy new, and the DELTA 3 Max is the nearest live EcoFlow equivalent if you want to stay in that ecosystem. The DJI would take it on the merits anyway: 2,048Wh against 1,536Wh is the difference between finishing the 8-hour blackout profile with 96Wh left and stopping 339Wh short of it, 3,000W continuous beats 1,800W, and a 1,800W solar ceiling puts back in a morning what 500W needs a full day for. Two catches you should know before you order: it's 48.5 lbs against 36, and our record shows no 12V car socket on it at all.

See the full weight table and data sourcing on our methodology page →Class ranking (the star rating)
Each unit's star score is a category ranking, not customer reviews — no buyer opinions feed it. We score every station on size-independent quality (value, output, portability, endurance, ports, warranty, and more), then percentile-rank it against the other units in its capacity class, so a class-leading compact unit and a class-leading whole-home unit can both earn 5★. Here, DELTA 3 1500 rates 5.0/5 (99th percentile of 27 Everyday-class units), and Power 2000 rates 4.3/5 (60th percentile of 26 Large-class units).
How the class ranking is computed →Test Notes & Caveats
Hidden gotchas and advantages we spotted that you won't find on the product page.
UPS Switchover: ≤10ms vs ≤15ms
Both list a UPS mode, at different rated speeds. The Power 2000 is rated ≤10ms — quick enough on paper that desktop PCs and routers should ride through, treating that as the rating it is. The DELTA 3 1500 is rated ≤15ms — fine on paper for routers and most electronics; the fussiest PC power supplies sit right at this line. If a computer with unsaved work is the thing being protected, the stated class is worth the attention; nothing here is a lab result.
Warranty: Same Five Years, Different Ground
Both records carry five years, so the term isn't the tiebreaker. What the term is attached to is. DJI's five is a maximum rather than a guarantee: it's the figure advertised on units bought from DJI's own store, so a marketplace listing may not carry the full run, and it's worth confirming before you order. EcoFlow's five years is stated plainly, but EcoFlow offers no parts or service out of warranty, and the DELTA 3 1500 has left its range. On a unit that isn't made anymore, that's the line that matters: when cover ends, the repair path ends with it.
Count the Energy, Not the Years
4,000 rated cycles against 3,000 reads as a third more life, and in calendar terms it roughly is: about 11 years against 8.2 at daily use, about 38 against 29 if you only cycle on weekends. But a cycle isn't the same size on both units. The Power 2000 moves 2,048Wh each time and the DELTA 3 1500 moves 1,536Wh, so the comparison that holds is total energy: 8,192 kWh against 4,608, nearer three-quarters more than the third the cycle counts imply. Neither pack dies at the limit either. Both drop to around 80% of original capacity and carry on.
One Published Figure, One Blank
The Power 2000 lists 30dB. The DELTA 3 1500 lists nothing. A blank isn't an accusation, it just means there's no figure to hold EcoFlow to and no honest way to compare the two here. Treat the 30dB as what it is, a manufacturer best-case floor that climbs under load rather than a measurement of your living room. And if the unit is going in a bedroom or beside a CPAP, look for hands-on reports of the DELTA 3 1500 before deciding, because silence in a spec sheet isn't silence in a hallway.

Analyst note
The DELTA 3 1500 is no longer sold, so there is no price to work its cost per kWh from, and this comparison doesn't quote one. On what you can actually buy today, the Power 2000 works out at $0.16/kWh over its rated life. If you already own the DELTA 3 1500, the hardware comparison still holds: over its rated life the DELTA 3 1500 delivers about 4,608 kWh and the Power 2000 about 8,192 kWh.

Support
US-based phone/email/chat support (1-800-368-8604). Experiences are polarized — many report hassle-free prepaid-label replacements, but others report long waits and refurbished units sent for new claims. Pro tip: buying from Costco or Amazon gives you a stronger return safety net.

App experience
Rated 4.6/5 iOS (~8,400 ratings) · 4.2/5 Android (~17,000 ratings)
Unique strength
Fastest-charging technology (X-Stream), deepest product ecosystem, and most active innovation cadence. At the top of the range sit two whole-home paths: the TITAN line, one 5 kWh unit that grows to 30 kWh, and the DELTA Pro Ultra platform, which stacks batteries and inverters further — flagship paths, not line-wide features.
Worth knowing
The deepest catalogue in portable power, and the DELTA 3 1500 is no longer in it. EcoFlow's own terms are the part to read twice: no parts or service offered out of warranty, which is a footnote on a current model and the whole story on a retired one. Its support record is mixed enough that where you bought the unit matters, and a Costco or Amazon purchase carries a stronger return safety net than a direct one.
DJI
Ecosystem
New entrant (2024) — five power station models to date: Power 500, Power 1000 (since superseded by the V2 but still sold), Power 1000 V2, Power 1000 Mini, Power 2000. Buying a "Power 1000" listing? Check which revision it actually ships.
Support
Leveraging DJI's established global support and repair center network from the drone business. Generally positive reputation inherited from drone operations, but limited power-station-specific track record.
Community
No dedicated power station community yet. Discussions happen within r/dji (~250K members, mostly drone users). Very small power-specific presence on Facebook and forums.
App experience
Rated 3.5/5 iOS and Android (DJI Home app ratings reflect entire DJI ecosystem including drones/cameras, not power-station-specific). Users report the on-device screen is more reliable than the app.
Unique strength
Runs quiet — 23-30dB published on most of the range (manufacturer best-case figures), at the quiet end of the category; our record carries no figure for the Power 1000 V2. Fast wall charging, quickest on the Power 1000 V2 at ~56 min — that figure is the V2's, not the whole line's. 700+ battery patents from drone R&D. SDC ports for ultra-fast DJI drone charging. Premium industrial design and build quality. LFP batteries rated for 4,000+ cycles.
Worth knowing
DJI has been selling power stations since 2024, five models so far, with a support and repair network borrowed from the drone business and no dedicated power-station community yet, so questions land in r/dji among a quarter-million drone owners. The hardware pedigree is real and the power-station track record is short. One concrete catch: there's no built-in solar charge controller, so the 1,800W solar ceiling arrives through a separate proprietary adapter, and the SDC fast-charging ports are proprietary too, which makes them a feature for DJI owners and a blank for everyone else.
Analyst note
EcoFlow has the bigger range, the bigger community and the longer run in this category. DJI arrived in 2024 with a support network inherited from drones and a shorter power-station record, though the app scores reflect its whole ecosystem rather than these units. On almost any other page that reads as a point for EcoFlow. On this one it runs into the fact that the EcoFlow in question isn't in EcoFlow's range anymore, and a deep catalogue stops helping the moment your model leaves it.

Analyst note
Growth only counts if you can still buy in, and the DELTA 3 1500 is no longer sold (EcoFlow points owners to the DELTA 3 Max). That leaves the Power 2000: it starts at 2,048Wh and takes DJI expansion batteries, so the ceiling moves if your needs do. The DELTA 3 1500's expandability still matters if you already own one, but it isn't a reason to pick it over the Power 2000.
What Owners Report
Patterns from published owner reports and long-term reviews — every claim cited to its source below.
EcoFlow DELTA 3 1500
Start with what isn't here. Field data on this exact SKU is thin enough that our researcher found no Reddit, YouTube or Amazon material specific to the 1536Wh DELTA 3 1500, and the two forum threads that do discuss it wouldn't load directly, so everything below is paraphrase of indexed snippets rather than quoted ownersA0. The retirement is the likely reason: most retail and review content now points somewhere else.
What exists skews negative and comes from one forum. A poster described a neighbor losing three DELTA 3 1500 units in roughly eight monthsA1, and the thread's broader read was that the DELTA 3 line had drawn more failure reports than the DELTA 2A2. Posters also described the 1500 as a hybrid, DELTA 2 cutover electronics in a new case with what one called larger grade B cellsA3, and put its cutover in the slower of EcoFlow's classes, which matches the ≤15ms our record carriesA5. Idle draw came up too, with numbers from roughly 25-30W down to 17W after a firmware update, though nobody could confirm the 1500 had received it and our researcher flagged that entry as possibly describing a sibling modelA4. Read all of it as character, not measurement.
“Posters described the Delta 3 1500 as essentially a Delta 2/Delta 3 hybrid — UPS-cutover electronics carried over from the Delta 2, housed in a new case with what one called "larger grade B cells."”

DJI Power 2000
Reviewers like it and the praise clusters on three things: speed, quiet, and build. A full wall charge in about 90 minutes with some measurements nearer an hour, and a full solar charge in about 75 minutes at its 1,800W ceilingB1. Around 29 dB at five feet when the fan kicked in, and among the quietest units tested even under the heaviest loadsB2. And a build described in unusual detail: flame-retardant materials, a nano-coated BMS, 26 temperature sensors, 21 fuses, and a frame rated to hold a one-ton static loadB3.
The caveat is age rather than quality. This is review coverage, not long-term ownership, and DJI has been in power stations too short a time for multi-year data to existB0. Reviewers did report it handling surges consistently and running everything they threw at itB4, which is the only thing standing in for the peak figure DJI doesn't publish.
“Among the fastest-charging tested — a full wall charge in about 90 minutes (reviewers measured even faster, roughly an hour), and up to 1,800W of solar input for a full solar charge in about 75 minutes.”

- Standout fast charging (wall and 1800W solar), near-silent operation, and an unusually robust safety-focused build are the consistent praise. [Power 2000 · 3 entries]

“Posters described the Delta 3 1500 as essentially a Delta 2/Delta 3 hybrid — UPS-cutover electronics carried over from the Delta 2, housed in a new case with what one called "larger grade B cells."”

“Idle power draw for the Delta 3 line was debated — some cite roughly 25-30W, others said a firmware update cut it from about 40W to 17W — and posters weren't sure whether the 1500 specifically had received that fix.”

Who Should Buy Which
Buy the DELTA 3 1500 if you…
- →You already own one: keep it. 1,536Wh, 1,800W and six AC outlets in a 36 lb body is still a good weekend unit, and nothing about the retirement changes what it does on a campsite table. Just understand that the warranty term is now the whole support story.
- →You've found leftover retailer stock at a real discount: the specs are real, and the 12V socket and the lighter body are genuine advantages over the Power 2000. Weigh them against a maker that no longer makes it, doesn't service it out of warranty, and a field record that is both thin and unflatteringA0A1A2.
- →You want to stay with EcoFlow: the DELTA 3 Max is the nearest live equivalent to what the 1500 covered, and it's the unit to compare against the Power 2000 instead.
Buy the Power 2000 if you…
- →The blackout buyer: 1,741Wh usable clears the 8-hour profile with 96Wh to spare, and 1,800W of solar input is what makes night two independent of the grid coming back.
- →The person who wants it quiet: 30dB published, a manufacturer best-case floor rather than a measurement, with reviewers landing near it in testingB2. The DELTA 3 1500 publishes nothing to compare it against.
- →The remote-work setup: 52% used across a full workday leaves 831Wh banked, which is the calls that run long and the second laptop charge you didn't plan.
- →Anyone already flying DJI: the SDC ports charge DJI drone batteries directly. That's worth nothing to everyone else and quite a lot to you.
If neither fits
Skip both if your list includes 240V or a 30A RV plug, since our records show neither socket on either unit, and skip both if you're powering a van full time. Van Life Daily asks 4,685Wh a day and the bigger of these two covers 37% of it, leaving it 2,944Wh short. That's a roof of panels and a bank under the bed, not a box you carry to it.
The Bottom Line
Buy the Power 2000. EcoFlow retired the DELTA 3 1500, which settles the recommendation before the specs get a vote, and the specs agree anyway: it covers the 8-hour blackout the EcoFlow comes up 339Wh short of, holds 3,000W continuous instead of 1,800W, and refills at up to 1,800W of solar against 500W. In a multi-day outage that intake matters more than the 512Wh of battery it also brings.
The honest catches are the 12.5 lb and the missing 12V socket, and if those describe your whole use case, the unit sitting in your garage is still the right one for the trip. Just don't go hunting clearance stock as an upgrade: you'd be buying the tail of a warranty on a box nobody makes anymore, from a maker whose own terms end the repair path when that warranty does. At $1,299, the Power 2000 is the one with somebody still behind it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers drawn from the spec record and cited owner research.
Is the EcoFlow DELTA 3 1500 discontinued?
Yes. EcoFlow has folded it out of its range: the product page forwards to the base DELTA 3, and the one listing left is a solar bundle that's sold out. The DELTA 3 Max is the nearest live equivalent in EcoFlow's current line. None of that changes the specs of a unit you already own, which is why this comparison is still here.
Will the DJI Power 2000 get me through an 8-hour outage?
Yes, with 96Wh to spare on our blackout profile, which needs 1,645Wh against the 1,741Wh usable after the flat 85% derate. That's 94% of the pack spent, so plan on recharging rather than on a second night from the same charge. Its 1,800W solar ceiling is what makes that recharge quick enough to matter.
Does the DJI Power 2000 have a 12V car outlet?
Our record shows none, while the DELTA 3 1500 carries one. If you run a 12V fridge or 12V lighting, that's a real gap and it's the single strongest argument for keeping a DELTA 3 1500 you already have. On AC-only loads it never comes up, and the DJI answers with four USB-C ports to the EcoFlow's two, both at 140W.
Which one lasts longer, the DELTA 3 1500 or the Power 2000?
The Power 2000, by more than the cycle counts suggest. It's rated for 4,000 cycles against 3,000, but each of its cycles moves 2,048Wh rather than 1,536Wh, so the lifetime energy works out at 8,192 kWh against 4,608. At daily use that's about 11 years against 8.2; at weekend use, about 38 against 29. Neither pack dies at the limit, they just settle near 80% of original capacity.
Is the DJI Power 2000 quiet enough to sleep next to?
It's the only one of the two with a number: DJI publishes 30dB, which is a manufacturer best-case floor rather than a measurement under load, and reviewers put it near 29 dB at five feet when the fan ran. The DELTA 3 1500 publishes no noise figure at all, so there's nothing to hold EcoFlow to and no honest way to compare them. On a CPAP night both have capacity to burn, so noise is the whole question.
