Both of these have left EcoFlow's store. The DELTA 2's page now forwards to the DELTA 3. The 1000 Air is gone too, and our pick for its replacement is the DELTA 3 Classic. Nobody is choosing between these two new. The people reading this own one, or have found one used.
If you're in the second group, I'd start with the inverter, the part that turns battery power into wall power. The DELTA 2 runs 1,800W continuous. The Air stops at 500W, which rules out a hair dryer or a space heaterB3.
The Air answers with less weight and a quicker UPS rating. It was built to sit under a desk and keep a computer alive through an outageB2. If my only worry were the desk in my Truckee cabin, a laptop, a monitor and the router, the Air would be enough. The little space heater under that desk would end the conversation.

The DELTA 2's fan is the complaint that follows it around. Reviewers say it comes on above about 120W and runs hard near full loadA1A2, and EcoFlow reportedly told reviewers a firmware fix was plannedA4. The noise ratings on the two spec sheets aren't measured the same way, so I wouldn't set them side by side.
The DELTA 2's 100W USB-C port charges a laptop at full speed. The Air's 18W port charges a phone. Only the DELTA 2 takes an expansion battery. The Air does keep its inverter further below its own limit, though that only helps inside 500W.

The hardware still compares. Both packs are rated for at least 3,000 cycles, which at one a day is a little over eight years. The DELTA 2 was sold with five years of warranty to the Air's two. If I were buying either used, I'd ask for the original receipt before anything else.
Your Life, Your Pick
Selected because: Both finish the same light jobs, and the DELTA 2 keeps a little more in reserve.
The two jobs either can finish are an overnight CPAP and a tailgate. Both units clear them, and the DELTA 2 finishes each with a little more left, thanks to its slightly bigger battery.

The DELTA 3 1000 Air's fastest USB-C port outputs 18W. A MacBook Air needs 30W minimum, a MacBook Pro needs 96W, and most USB-C laptops need at least 60W for full-speed charging. At 18W, your laptop will charge slowly. Under load, it might not charge at all. The DELTA 2 handles this at 100W.
DELTA 3 1000 Air: Fixed Capacity
The DELTA 3 1000 Air is sealed at 960Wh, and that is the ceiling. Normally the counterpoint would be that the DELTA 2 can add expansion batteries, but that isn't a live option here: the DELTA 2 is no longer sold, and EcoFlow points owners to the DELTA 3.
