EcoFlow has stopped selling the DELTA 2. Its store page now forwards to the DELTA 3, which EcoFlow calls the replacement. So this page is really for two people. One owns a DELTA 2 and wonders whether to upgrade. The other has found a used or clearance unit and wonders whether it's still a sensible buy.
On paper the DELTA 3 is the same box with some parts swapped. 1,024Wh, 1,800W continuous and 27 lbs on both, and both take EcoFlow's extra batteries. The changes are inside: a higher surge ceiling for motors, a battery rated for more cycles, and a quicker switchover when the grid drops.
My cabin in Truckee runs on solar, so the first spec I look for is the solar input. Both take 500W. Either one would refill from the same panels on my roof at the same pace. That leaves three differences to weigh, and none of them is capacity.
What the Numbers Reveal
