If neither fits

The Bottom Line
Take the F3800. It does five of the six jobs on this page with reserve left over, starts harder loads than the unit costing $1,299 more, and asks 50.7 lb less of you every time it has to move. The Apex's advantages are all real, and all of them are denominated in energy you have to actually spend before they pay you back.

Why does the cheaper Anker have more output than the more expensive BLUETTI?
Because with the Apex you're paying for the battery, not the electronics. Our eight-hour blackout load works out to about 206W average, from 1,645Wh spread over eight hours. At that draw the F3800's 3,264Wh usable lasts roughly 16 hours and the Apex's 6,702Wh roughly 32.5 hours. Both cover the evening without drama; only the Apex covers the following day as well.
Is the BLUETTI worth $1,299 more than the Anker?
