BLUETTI AC70 vs AC70P — which should I buy?
The AC70, clearly. It's $359 to the AC70P's $649 — nearly half — on the same 1,000W output, 2,000W surge, 3,000-cycle battery, and 22.5-lb body. Crucially, the cheaper AC70 is the expandable one (to about 1,574Wh with a B80), while the AC70P is sealed [B3]. The AC70P's only edges are 96Wh more base capacity and faster charging, which don't justify the premium.
Which BLUETTI AC70 model is expandable?
The standard AC70 — it pairs with the B80 expansion battery to reach about 1,574Wh, more than double its 768Wh base [B3]. The pricier AC70P is sealed at 864Wh and does not accept an expansion battery. So if you might want to add capacity later, the cheaper AC70 is the one to get, not the AC70P.
Is the AC70P worth the extra money?
Rarely. It costs about $320 more than the AC70 for two things: 96Wh more base capacity and faster wall charging [B2]. On top of that it loses expandability, which the cheaper AC70 has [B3]. Unless you find the AC70P heavily discounted, the AC70 delivers the same core unit — and more growth potential — for far less.

Very little on the core specs — both run 1,000W with a 2,000W surge, take 500W of solar, use a 3,000-cycle LFP battery, and weigh 22.5 lb. The AC70P adds 96Wh of base capacity (864 vs 768Wh) and charges faster from the wall, but is sealed; the AC70 holds slightly less but expands to about 1,574Wh and costs $320 less [B3].
Is the BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 worth $140 more than the AC70?
For most buyers, yes. The Elite carries 256Wh more capacity, 800W more continuous output, double the solar input, 1,000 more rated cycles, and a lower published noise rating. The AC70's case is narrower: it's cheaper and 2.5 lbs lighter, and neither unit can be expanded later.
