That is $7,469 of daylight for 12 times the storage (12,288Wh against 1,024Wh), which reads like a bad trade right up until you notice that nobody buys the DELTA Pro Ultra X for storage. They buy it for a 12,000W inverter that feeds household circuits at 120/240VA1, and the SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 has no version of that at any price.
Almost nobody cross-shops these two on purpose. You land here because a search for backup power returned both, or because you already own a C1000 and you're curious what going big looks like, or because you're pricing the DELTA for a house and wondering whether you also need something you can carry. That's better news for getting it through a doorway and worse news for everything after: several chassis to place, cable and commission, and no casual relocating once it's done. Budget for where this lives before you budget for what it does.
Surge Headroom Is Real. Aim It at the Right Question.
45,000W against 3,000W is a fifteenfold gap, and the ratios agree, 3.8x surge-to-continuous for the DELTA against 1.5x for the C1000. What that buys is absorbing several motors starting at once on circuits you don't control, the well pump kicking in while the AC compressor does. For one fridge or one power tool on one cord, the C1000's 3,000W ceiling is not the thing that will stop you. Its 870Wh of usable energy is.

Recharge speed is the C1000 Gen 2's headline in the coverage: reviewers clock a full refill at roughly 49 minutes against the original's 58 to 80B1. The catch travels with it. Can I buy the C1000 now and add capacity later instead of going big?
