At 181.8 lb the DELTA Pro Ultra is something you install; at 72 lb the AC240P is something you carry, and our scenario suite has no category for that difference. The years-of-life row is worse than decorative. Both units read 9.6 years daily, 33.7 weekend and 67.3 weekly, because that math counts cycles and drops capacity entirely. One of these boxes holds 6,144Wh and the other holds 1,843Wh; a cycle is not the same event on both. Read the cycle count, skip the years.

What the Specs Don't Tell You

Selected because: A 15-point noise spread, a 10-year against 6-year warranty, and two switchover figures of very different quality all need a second look.

Two of the four cards here say less than they appear to. The noise card flags the AC240P at 45dBA against a threshold of anything above 45dBA, which means it's rated exactly on the line rather than over it, and the card never mentions that the DELTA Pro Ultra's own figure is 30dBA. Neither rating states the load it was taken at, which is the part that would have mattered.

The UPS card is the other one. The AC240P's 15ms is a published switchover figure. The DELTA Pro Ultra's 0ms is a spec line, and our data uses that same zero for values that were never published, so read it as the stronger claim rather than a stopwatch result. The warranty card, by contrast, is straight and even argues against itself: 10 years against 6, at $400 a covered year against $244, with the honest note that the AC240P's better warranty-per-dollar is a fact about its price rather than its coverage.

72 lb is a solo lift with a straight back and some resentment. 181.8 lb isn't a lift at all, it's a decision about where the unit lives, made once. Worth knowing that the DELTA Pro Ultra is a modular system, so its figure covers the whole assembly rather than a single carry, but 181.8 lb still has to get down the basement stairs somehow.
