EcoFlow DELTA 3800 Gen4 vs DJI Power 2000Nearly Twice the Battery, Cheaper per Watt-Hour. Can You Lift It?
Nearly twice the Power 2000's battery, room for two more, and a lower cost per watt-hour, in a box 19 lb heavier. I'd buy the DELTA 4 (3800) for a house that loses power, unless the box mostly rides in your car.

Whole-Home Backup Tester
This is a bigger step than the shelf makes it look.
The DJI Power 2000 holds 2,048 Wh and weighs 48.5 lb. The DELTA 4 (3800) holds 3,763 Wh and weighs 67.5 lbA1A7. That's nearly twice the battery for $900 more, and at $2,199 against $1,299 it still comes out cheaper per watt-hour.
The blackout numbers come out as a mirror image.
After our 8-hour blackout night, the Power 2000 has 6% of a second night left in it. The DELTA 4 (3800) has 94% of one. Same two numbers, swapped, and they are the best argument on this page.
What the Numbers Reveal
Each conclusion stated first β the numbers behind it on one line, the full analysis below.
A two-day outage with a grey day in the middle is the one that tests a backup plan. The Power 2000 needs a full recharge before the second evening. The DELTA 4 (3800) covers nearly two of these nights on one charge, so the cloudy day costs you nothing.
8-Hour Blackout load: 1,645 WhPower 2000: 96 Wh left at the end, 6% of a second nightDELTA 4 (3800): 1,554 Wh left at the end, 94% of a second night
Why it mattersIf your outages are measured in days, this is the box. If they're measured in hours, the DJI covers them.
The batteries it takes are ones other EcoFlow stations already useA6. EcoFlow even sells it in a kit with a DELTA 3 Max Plus battery, 6 kWh in allA10. That makes the DELTA 4 (3800) the start of a house system rather than a bigger portable.
DELTA 4 (3800): up to two extra batteries, 4 to 12 kWh in all by EcoFlow's figureA6It takes the DELTA Pro 3 and DELTA 3 Max Plus extra batteriesA6Power 2000: takes DJI expansion batteries, starting from 2,048 Wh
Why it mattersIf home backup is the long-term plan, start on the EcoFlow. If an EcoFlow extra battery already sits in your garage, it can put that to work.
weight
A tailgate or a workday barely dents either unit. The 19 lb is carried on every trip, and the extra capacity only earns it back when the grid is down. For a box that lives in the car, that's a bad trade.
Weight: 67.5 lb against 48.5 lbTailgate Party: 670 Wh, 21% of the DELTA 4 (3800) against 38% of the Power 2000Remote Workday: 910 Wh, 28% against 52%
Why it mattersIf it's a car box first and a backup second, the Power 2000 is the honest size.
The specific dimensions that decide these two units β everything else is a tie.
Your Life, Your Pick
Selected because: The 8-hour blackout leaves 1,554 Wh in the DELTA 4 (3800) and 96 Wh in the Power 2000.
The light days don't split them. A CPAP night, a workday and a tailgate leave most of either battery untouched. The camping weekend does: the DJI comes up 359 Wh short of our 2,100 Wh weekend, and the DELTA 4 (3800) ends it with 1,099 Wh spare.
The blackout is where the extra money goes. I wire houses, and the calls I get after a storm are about day two. The DELTA 4 (3800) finishes our blackout night with 1,554 Wh, nearly a whole second night. The Power 2000 finishes with 96 Wh.
Growth Path
Selected because: Both take extra batteries. The DELTA 4 (3800) starts the climb at 3,763 Wh against 2,048 Wh.
solar input
Both grow, so the real question is where you start. The DELTA 4 (3800) takes up to two extra batteries through EcoFlow's expansion adapter, and EcoFlow quotes 4 to 12 kWh in allA6. The Power 2000 takes DJI's own expansion batteries.
The EcoFlow's extras aren't single-purpose. It takes the DELTA Pro 3 and DELTA 3 Max Plus extra batteriesA6, the same packs those stations run. A household that grows into an EcoFlow system can move batteries around. The DJI keeps you inside DJI.
What the Specs Don't Tell You
Selected because: At 67.5 lb against 48.5 lb, the bigger battery costs 19 lb.
rated cycles
67.5 lb is a lift you plan. I'd get it into a car alone using the handle at each endA7, and EcoFlow sells a folding cart for it separatelyA7. The DJI at 48.5 lb is the one I'd grab on the way out the door.
On solar, the DJI fills its smaller battery sooner. It puts up to 1,800 W into 2,048 Wh. The DELTA 4 (3800) takes 2,000 W across two inputs into 3,763 WhA5, so it collects more sun but needs more hours of it to fill.
Lifetime Value
Selected because: 6,000 rated cycles on 3,763 Wh against 4,000 on 2,048 Wh.
cost / lifetime kWh
Over a battery's whole life, the bigger box is the cheaper one. Spread each price over the energy its rated cycles deliver and the DELTA 4 (3800) comes to $0.10 a kWh against $0.16 for the DJI. More cycles on nearly twice the battery does that: 6,000 against 4,000.
You only collect it by using it. A unit that sits at full waiting for two storms a year never gets near either rating. If that's your plan, the lifetime math stops mattering and the Power 2000's lower price is the number to weigh.

Either unit
A CPAP is about 40W for eight hours, so both of these cover the night several times over β capacity isn't the question here. The only published difference is fan noise, and it can't settle this: the Power 2000 is rated 30dB and the DELTA 3800 Gen4 40dB, but the Power 2000's is its maker's best case and the DELTA 3800 Gen4's is EcoFlow's maximum under heavy charge and discharge, so at a 40W draw the real gap can only be narrower than it looks, and may even run the other way. Conclusion
November 4, 2026
Verdict: the DELTA 3800 Gen4, on Power Score margin
For a house, I'd buy the DELTA 4 (3800). It holds 3,763 Wh against 2,048 Wh, costs less per watt-hour, has the bigger inverter at 3,600 W, and ends our 8-hour blackout with 1,554 Wh left where the Power 2000 has 96 Wh. It also takes up to two extra batteries, 4 to 12 kWh in all by EcoFlow's figureA6. The cost is real: $900 more, 19 lb heavier, and EcoFlow ships it in late NovemberA10 while the DJI is on sale now. If the box travels more than it waits for outages, or one night is all you ever need, the Power 2000 does that job for a lot less.

Each unit's star score is a category ranking, not customer reviews β no buyer opinions feed it. We score every station on size-independent quality (value, output, portability, endurance, ports, warranty, and more), then percentile-rank it against the other units in its capacity class, so a class-leading compact unit and a class-leading whole-home unit can both earn 5β . Here, DELTA 3800 Gen4 rates 4.1/5 (48th percentile of 22 Home Backup-class units), and Power 2000 rates 4.3/5 (57th percentile of 29 Large-class units).
How the class ranking is computed βTest Notes & Caveats
Hidden gotchas and advantages we spotted that you won't find on the product page.
19 lb More to Carry
The DELTA 4 (3800) weighs 67.5 lb against the Power 2000's 48.5 lb. It has a handle at each end, so one person can get it into a car, but you'll choose which trips it makes.
Warranty: No Difference
Both units carry the same 5-year warranty, so coverage isn't a tiebreaker here. Both figures are maximums rather than guarantees: EcoFlow's depends on registering the unit in the EcoFlow app, which adds two years to a three-year standard term; DJI's on buying from DJI's own store, which is where the full five years is advertised. Worth saying because the per-dollar framing can suggest otherwise: the Power 2000 works out at 3.8 years of cover per $1,000 spent against the DELTA 3800 Gen4's 2.3, but that spread is the price gap, not the terms.
Battery Lifespan in Real Years
The DELTA 3800 Gen4 is rated for 6,000 cycles vs 4,000. In real life: at daily use, that's 16.4 vs 11 years. At weekend use (twice a week), it's 58 vs 38 years. One caution reading years across different sizes: a cycle is 3,763Wh on the DELTA 3800 Gen4 and 2,048Wh on the Power 2000, so count lifetime energy β roughly 22,578 kWh against 8,192 kWh over the rated life. After hitting the cycle limit, the battery doesn't die β it drops to ~80% of original capacity, which is still very usable.

Unique strength
Fastest-charging technology (X-Stream), deepest product ecosystem, and most active innovation cadence. At the top of the range sit two whole-home paths: the TITAN line, one 5 kWh unit that grows to 30 kWh, and the DELTA Pro Ultra platform, which stacks batteries and inverters further β flagship paths, not line-wide features.
Worth knowing
Tested subscription paywalls for advanced app features in early 2025 before community backlash paused the plan. No parts or service offered out of warranty.
DJI
Ecosystem
New entrant (2024) β five power station models to date: Power 500, Power 1000 (since superseded by the V2 but still sold), Power 1000 V2, Power 1000 Mini, Power 2000. Buying a "Power 1000" listing? Check which revision it actually ships.
Support
Leveraging DJI's established global support and repair center network from the drone business. Generally positive reputation inherited from drone operations, but limited power-station-specific track record.
Community
No dedicated power station community yet. Discussions happen within r/dji (~250K members, mostly drone users). Very small power-specific presence on Facebook and forums.
App experience
Rated 3.5/5 iOS and Android (DJI Home app ratings reflect entire DJI ecosystem including drones/cameras, not power-station-specific). Users report the on-device screen is more reliable than the app.
Unique strength
Runs quiet β 23-30dB published on most of the range (manufacturer best-case figures), at the quiet end of the category; our record carries no figure for the Power 1000 V2. Fast wall charging, quickest on the Power 1000 V2 at ~56 min β that figure is the V2's, not the whole line's. 700+ battery patents from drone R&D. SDC ports for ultra-fast DJI drone charging. Premium industrial design and build quality. LFP batteries rated for 4,000+ cycles.
Worth knowing
A recent entrant to power stations, arriving long after the established players, so there is less long-term field data than for EcoFlow, Jackery or BLUETTI β though DJI brings a deep hardware track record from drones. No built-in solar charge controller (requires a separate proprietary adapter). SDC ports are proprietary to the DJI ecosystem, so their fast-charging advantage mostly benefits people who already own DJI gear. Battery expansion is available on the newer Power 2000 and Power 1000 V2, but not on the earlier Power 1000 or Power 500 β check the specific model.
Analyst note
EcoFlow and DJI are close competitors. Both have established support channels and growing ecosystems. Compare their specific warranty terms and community size for your peace of mind.

Nobody owns a DELTA 4 (3800) yet. EcoFlow put it on sale on November 4 and ships it in late NovemberA10, so this page runs on EcoFlow's US store page and our own arithmeticA1A6A9.
I'd want to watch it run an extra battery before I trusted the 12 kWh figureA6. Hypothetically, I'd connect a DELTA 3 Max Plus battery through the adapter, run a house's 120 V essentials overnight, and check that the app drains both packs as one batteryA6. That's the test that tells you whether the growth path is as tidy as the spec sheet.

Who Should Buy Which
Buy the DELTA 3800 Gen4 if youβ¦
- βYour outages last more than a night. It ends our blackout night with 1,554 Wh left. The DJI ends it with 96 Wh.
- βYou're building toward home backup. Up to two extra batteries, 4 to 12 kWh in all by EcoFlow's figureA6.
- βYou already own an EcoFlow extra battery. It takes the DELTA Pro 3 and DELTA 3 Max Plus onesA6.
- βIt will cycle every day on solar. 6,000 rated cycles against 4,000, and two solar inputsA5.
Buy the Power 2000 if youβ¦
- βIt lives in the car. 48.5 lb against 67.5 lb.
- βOne night is the job. It runs a CPAP night or a workday with plenty left, for $900 less.
- βYou need it before late November. EcoFlow ships the DELTA 4 (3800) thenA10, and the Power 2000 is on sale now.
- βYour RV has a 30 A inlet. The Power 2000 has an RV-style 30 A outlet. The EcoFlow's 30 A outlet is a twist-lockA3.
If neither fits
If you want a step rather than a leap, look at the smaller DELTA 4. It sits between these two on battery, weight and price, and it suits a buyer who wants more than one night without the full jump. If the whole house has to run, skip portables and look at a whole-home battery wired into the panel.
The Bottom Line
For a house that loses power, I'd buy the DELTA 4 (3800). It wakes up after a blackout night with nearly a whole second night left, costs less per watt-hour, and grows from there.
For the car, a day trip or one night at a time, buy the Power 2000. It's 19 lb lighter, $900 cheaper, and it's on sale now.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers drawn from the spec record and cited owner research.
Is the DELTA 4 (3800) worth the extra money over the DJI Power 2000?
For home outages, yes. It holds 3,763 Wh against 2,048 Wh for $900 more, costs less per watt-hour, and takes extra batteries up to 4 to 12 kWh in all by EcoFlow's figure. For a car or a single night, the Power 2000 does the job for less and weighs 19 lb less.
How much is the DELTA 4 (3800) in the US, and when does it ship?
EcoFlow lists it at $2,199 on its US store. It went on sale on November 4, 2026, and EcoFlow says it ships in late November. The DJI Power 2000 sells for $1,299.
Can both take extra batteries?
Yes. The DELTA 4 (3800) takes up to two through EcoFlow's expansion adapter, using the DELTA Pro 3 or DELTA 3 Max Plus extra batteries. The DJI Power 2000 takes DJI's own expansion batteries.
How long does each one last in a blackout?
On our 8-hour blackout load of 1,645 Wh, both finish the night. The Power 2000 has 96 Wh left at the end and the DELTA 4 (3800) has 1,554 Wh, nearly enough for a second night.
Which one charges faster from solar?
The DJI Power 2000 fills its battery sooner. It takes up to 1,800 W into 2,048 Wh, and reviewers report a full solar charge in about 75 minutes. The DELTA 4 (3800) accepts more in total, 2,000 W across two inputs, but has nearly twice the battery to fill.
