Take the DELTA 3 Ultra if a blackout or a weekend away from a plug is why you're shopping. Both units are priced within a nickel of each other per watt-hour and both are rated 4,000 cycles under five years of warranty, so the $900 gap isn't a quality premium. It's 2,002 more watt-hours at the going rate. The Explorer 1000 v2 comes up 736Wh short of an eight-hour outage and 1,191Wh short of the camping load, and no amount of careful management closes those.
