$1,399 buys 3,072Wh here. $1,462 buys 1,843Wh, and the AC240P keeps giving ground after that: 2,400W of continuous output against 3,600W, 3,600W of surge against 7,200W, 45dB against 30dB, 3,500 cycles against 4,000. You're paying more to bring home less.
What the extra money buys is a sealed case, and the seal isn't a brochure claim. Reviewers left one out through a six-hour rainstorm and watched the water bead off an interior that stayed bone dry, then ran one on a sailboat through constant saltwater spray and found nothing had got inB2. It holds only with every port cover closedB1, which turns out to matter. The AC240P also swallows 1,200W of solar to the Ultra's 800W, carries a sixth year of warranty, and takes expansion batteries. The Ultra never will. There's no port on it to accept one.
All of that pays off only where the unit sleeps. In a garage the sealed case does nothing, the expansion port is a purchase you haven't made, and the higher solar ceiling refills a tank that empties sooner. Take the Ultra unless yours rides in a truck bed.

Noise is the flag most likely to change your order. 45dB under load against 30dB is nothing in a garage and quite a lot in a small van with the doors shut. Surge is the other one: a compressor kicking on either starts without drama, or it makes you look up its starting draw first.
Two flags look sharper than they are. Weight is a dead heat, 72.1 lb against 72 lb, the same lift and the same decision not to take it down the basement stairs alone. And the switchover gap, 10ms against 15ms, disappears into hardware that doesn't care; a desktop, a router and a NAS all ride through either.
