It backs that up with a longer-lived battery (6,000 cycles against 3,500), a faster switch to battery power when the grid drops (10ms against 20ms), and a lower cost per lifetime kWh once you factor in how long it lasts.

That sweep is real but not total. Weekend Camping and an 8-hour blackout both call for more energy than the AC180 physically has on board: 2,100Wh and 1,645Wh needed, against its 1,152Wh available. Those two are Elite-300-or-nothing. The AC180 clears the other three scenarios just fine (a remote workday, a tailgate, an overnight CPAP run), just with a thinner cushion than the Elite leaves.

Buy the Elite 300 if your real use case is a full camping weekend, a multi-day blackout, or you'll actually cycle this unit for years: it's the only one of the two that covers the heaviest loads at all, and its lower cost per lifetime kWh pays for the extra $700 many times over if you keep it long enough.
