Does the DJI Power 1000 charge from solar like a normal power station?
Not quite. The DJI accepts 800W of solar on paper, more than the Anker's 600W, but it has no built-in solar charge controller and needs DJI's proprietary adapter to connect panels. If you want to plug standard panels straight in, the Anker is the simpler path despite its lower input.
Why is the cheaper DJI rated higher than the Anker?
Because it out-specs the Anker on most axes the score weighs — more output, more surge, more solar, quieter — while costing less. The Anker claws back points on UPS speed and weight, but not enough to close the gap. It is the rare case where the value pick is also the performance pick.
