The F2600 runs more watts continuously (2,400W vs 2,000W), but the C1000 has the higher surge ceiling (3,000W vs 2,800W) and more cushion above its rating (1.5x vs 1.2x). Motor loads — fridges, pumps, some power tools — spike to two or three times their running draw the instant they start, and that spike is what trips an inverter.
