Buy the MAX PLUS. It's $599 against the RIVER 3's $199, and the watt-hours you add cost about half what the watt-hours inside the RIVER 3 cost. Paying a higher rate per unit of energy in order to spend less overall is a legitimate choice, but it's worth knowing that's the choice you're making.
