Both of these have left EcoFlow's range. The DELTA 3 1000 Air went first, in August, and the RIVER 3 Max Plus Wireless followed a few weeks later. EcoFlow now points buyers of either one to the DELTA 3 Classic. So nobody is choosing between these two at checkout any more. This page is for the person who owns one, or who has spotted one in a retailer's leftover stock.
On paper they look like the same box. Both sit close to a kilowatt-hour. Both use cells rated for 3,000 cycles, where a cycle is one full drain and refill. Both are rated to switch to battery within 10ms when the wall power drops, which is quick enough for a router to ride through without blinking.
They split on what each one was built for. Reviewers saw the Air as a home-office backupA2, with a small 500W inverter, the part that turns battery power into wall-style AC. The RIVER packs more battery into a slightly lighter case. The Air has the bigger solar input. At my cabin in Truckee, that last one would matter to me more than the rest.
