DJI has moved on from this one. The Power 1000 has been superseded by the Power 1000 V2, and this page shows the original no price. That leaves the RIVER 2 Pro as the only unit here you can buy new. It also leaves an awkward fact. On most of the spec sheet, the DJI was the stronger box.
The DJI holds a third more energy and nearly triples the EcoFlow's continuous output. That's the gap between running a space heater and not running one. It also takes 800W of solar, but only through a separate DJI adapter, because it has no built-in charge controller, the circuit that turns panel voltage into battery charge. At the cabin I'd rather plug a panel straight in, and the RIVER 2 Pro lets me do that at up to 220W.
The RIVER 2 Pro wins on what you carry and what you plug in. It weighs 17.2 lb to the DJI's 28.7, and it has four AC outlets to two. It also has a 12V car socket, which the DJI never had. For a weekend of phones, lights, a laptop and a CPAP, it's plenty. If you need the DJI's muscle, look at the Power 1000 V2 rather than leftover stock.

Switchover is the gap between the wall power dropping and the battery taking over, and many desktops won't ride through 30ms. The expansion card flags the RIVER 2 Pro as sealed at 768Wh. Our record of the original Power 1000's expansion support is disputed, so I wouldn't plan around that either. Warranty is five years each, the DJI's when bought from DJI's own store, and the cycle card goes to the DJI at 4,000 to 3,000.

DJI came to power stations in 2024 with its drone engineering. Support runs through DJI's existing repair network, and the SDC ports fast-charge DJI drone batteries, which helps if you already fly one. There's no dedicated power-station community yet. The app rating covers every DJI product, drones included, and the on-device screen is reported to be the more reliable control.
EcoFlow has the deeper range and the biggest owner community in portable power. Its support reports are mixed, and it offers no parts or service after the warranty ends. If a retailer still lists a Power 1000, ask which revision is in the box.

62dB is about as loud as a normal conversation. The Power 1000 is rated 23dB, and the two are not the same kind of figure: the RIVER 2 Pro's is a MAXIMUM under heavy charge and discharge, while the Power 1000's is its maker's best case β so the real gap can only be narrower than the numbers suggest, and may even run the other way. For most people, fan noise around 45dB and up is where sleep starts to suffer.
RIVER 2 Pro: Fixed Capacity
The RIVER 2 Pro is sealed at 768Wh, and that is the ceiling. Normally the counterpoint would be that the Power 1000 can add expansion batteries, but that isn't a live option here: the Power 1000 is no longer sold, and DJI points owners to the Power 1000 V2. For a new purchase the expansion question doesn't arise between these two, so the RIVER 2 Pro's fixed 768Wh is simply what you get.

Should I buy the DJI Power 1000 or the EcoFlow RIVER 2 Pro?
If you are buying new, the RIVER 2 Pro, because DJI has superseded the Power 1000 with the Power 1000 V2. The original Power 1000 holds 1,024Wh to 768Wh and runs 2,200W to 800W. If you need that capacity and output, compare the RIVER 2 Pro with the Power 1000 V2.
Which power station is quieter, DJI Power 1000 or EcoFlow RIVER 2 Pro?
The published figures can't settle it. DJI rates the Power 1000 at 23dB, its best case. EcoFlow says the RIVER 2 Pro may reach 62dB when charging or discharging at high wattage, its maximum. Reviewers found the Power 1000 nearly silent under normal loads.
Is DJI a reliable brand for power stations?
DJI entered power stations in 2024, so it has less long-term field data than EcoFlow. It uses DJI's established support and repair network from the drone business. Check which revision a Power 1000 listing ships, since DJI now sells the Power 1000 V2.
Can either unit run a compressor fridge?
The Power 1000's 2,200W continuous output and 4,400W surge give it plenty of room to start a compressor fridge. The RIVER 2 Pro's 800W continuous output and 1,600W surge leave less margin for a compressor's startup draw.
How much solar input does each accept?
The DJI Power 1000 accepts up to 800W of solar input, but it has no built-in solar charge controller and needs DJI's separate adapter. The RIVER 2 Pro accepts up to 220W directly.
