The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max is the cheaper battery, which is the opposite of what the price tags say. $899 against $499 reads like a clear budget call until you divide it out: $0.41 per watt-hour against $0.47. The Explorer 1000 v2 is the smaller purchase and the more expensive energy.

The rest of the spec sheet keeps the same shape. 2,400W continuous against 1,500W, 4,800W surge against 3,000W, 1,000W of solar input against 400W. Cycles are dead even at 4,000 and both carry five-year warranties, so none of the EcoFlow's advantage is borrowed against a shorter life.

Then you pick it up. 50.7 lbs against 23.8 lbs is 26.9 lbs of difference, and that is the entire case for the Jackery. It's a good one. The Explorer is a one-hand carry from the trunk to the campsite; the DELTA is a bent-knee lift you plan a route for. Take the DELTA 3 Max unless the unit has to travel on foot. At $899 against $499 it's $400 more, and that $400 buys 978Wh (2,048 against 1,070), which works out to about $0.36 a watt-hour, under the $0.41 and $0.47 each unit charges for the capacity it already has. Cycles are identical at 4,000 and both carry five years, so the cheaper watt-hours aren't cheaper because they wear out sooner. It's also the only one of the two that finishes the 8-hour blackout profile, and it ends a remote workday with 831Wh still in reserve. Worth knowing
