The DELTA 3 1000 Air costs $309 and the Yeti 6000X costs $4,000, and across their rated lives they deliver within about 5% of the same energy: 2,880 kWh against 3,036 kWh. The extra money does not buy more energy. It buys the right to spend it faster and in bigger pieces, 6,071Wh at 2,000W instead of 960Wh at 500W.
So everything turns on whether your loads fit inside 816Wh at 500W, which is the Air's 960Wh after the flat 15% derate applied to every unit on this site. A CPAP fits with room left. The Air Is Sealed, and That Is a Real Loss

If your needs are climbing toward partial-home backup, the Yeti has somewhere to go that the Air structurally does not: add Goal Zero expansion batteries and the base unit stays. The unflattering part of the Yeti 6000X's record is also the unanimous part: NMC cells rated for 500 cycles to 80% capacity, low against modern LFP packs, and past that point the 6,071Wh pack is effectively about 4,857WhB1B4. Weight is the other constant: roughly 106 lbs, not portable for most people, sold as a semi-stationary hub and shipped with a roll cartB2.

Buy the DELTA 3 1000 Air if you…
- →The person whose blackout worry is a desktop, a monitor and a router. This is the only unit of the two that lists a transfer to battery, and 816 usable watt-hours covers an evening of that load. Buy the DELTA 3 Classic unless you find the Air genuinely discounted.
- →The CPAP user who wants the lightest box that clears the night. It is 320Wh out of 816 usable, in a 22-lb case you can carry to a guest room without planning the trip.
- →The tailgater. 670Wh of load and a 400W peak fit inside the 500W inverter with 146Wh of usable energy still in hand, and it is the only one of the two that can actually be in the parking lot.

The Air cannot finish those days and the Yeti finishes them on a 500-cycle NMC pack whose rated end arrives fast under daily use. Shop modern LFP units in the Yeti's capacity class instead, where cycle ratings run far above 500B1. You want the big battery. You just do not want to buy it twice.
The Bottom Line
Roughly the same lifetime energy, thirteen times the price for bigger servings of it. If your loads fit inside 816 usable watt-hours at 500W, a desk, a router, a CPAP, a tailgate, the Air's side of this page wins and the only remaining question is whether you buy a clearance Air or the DELTA 3 Classic that replaced it. If they do not fit, the Yeti is the only one of the two that finishes the job, and it charges a premium for a pack whose rated life ends about where a modern LFP unit is getting startedB1.
So: buy the small box if the small box covers you, and buy the successor rather than the one EcoFlow stopped making. And if you genuinely need six kilowatt-hours in one place, buy six kilowatt-hours that are still six kilowatt-hours on the five hundred and first cycle.

Is the EcoFlow DELTA 3 1000 Air discontinued?
Yes. EcoFlow no longer sells it, and the DELTA 3 Classic replaced it with an 1,800W inverter where the Air had 500W. Retailer stock can linger for a while after a maker delists a unit, so you may still come across one. At a real discount it is a capable light-duty box; at full price, buy the successor instead.
Is the Goal Zero Yeti 6000X worth the money?
Only if you need 6,071Wh in one place and it is going to sit still. Its NMC pack is rated for 500 cycles to 80% capacity, about 1.4 years at daily use, so across its rated life it delivers roughly what the cheap unit on this page delivers, at thirteen times the price. If your loads are small enough to fit a 960Wh box, this is a lot of money for energy you will not reach.
Will the DELTA 3 1000 Air run a space heater?
No. 500W continuous rules out space heaters and hair dryers, and the unit is built for low-to-moderate draw. Its 1,000W published peak covers a brief startup spike, not a sustained resistive load. If heat is on your list, this size class is not the answer.
Which is better for a CPAP, the DELTA 3 1000 Air or the Yeti 6000X?
Both cover the night, so decide on everything else. A CPAP is roughly 40W for eight hours, about 320Wh, which is 39% of the Air's usable energy and 6% of the Yeti's. The Air is the one with a published noise figure and a listed transfer to battery; Goal Zero publishes no noise figure for the Yeti, so there is nothing to hold it to. On weight alone the 22-lb box is the one that ends up on a nightstand.
Can the Yeti 6000X power an RV or a house?
Not through dedicated hookups. It has no 30A RV outlet and no 240V outlet, so an RV or a house circuit gets fed through one of its two household sockets, inside 2,000W. Expansion batteries add capacity, not outlets. For shore power or panel-level backup you want a unit built with those ports from the start.
