EcoFlow DELTA 3800 Gen4 vs Jackery HomePower 3600 PlusTwice the Solar, Ten Pounds Lighter. Is That Worth Paying For?

The DELTA 4 (3800) takes twice the sun in a lighter box, but the Jackery matches its inverter, its cycle rating and its battery port for less. I'd buy the HomePower 3600 Plus, unless solar panels are how you'll refill it.

Gunner’s take

Whole-Home Backup Tester

On the spec sheet, the EcoFlow wins most rows.

The DELTA 4 (3800) holds 3,763 Wh to the HomePower 3600 Plus's 3,584 Wh, weighs 67.5 lb to its 77.2 lbA7, and takes twice the solar, 2,000 W across two inputs against 1,000 WA5.

The rows a house leans on come out even.

Both run 3,600 W and surge to 7,200 W. Both are rated for 6,000 cycles, both switch over in no worse than 10 ms, and both take extra batteries. The Jackery is the cheaper one, at $1,899 against $2,199 for the DELTA 4 (3800), and it costs less per watt-hour too.

So the extra money buys sun.

With panels on the roof or out in the yard during a long outage, the DELTA 4 refills in about half the hours of strong sun. If the grid is how you'll recharge, the Jackery does the same job for less.

02

What the Numbers Reveal

Each conclusion stated first — the numbers behind it on one line, the full analysis below.

F1

solar input

In a blackout that runs past the first night, the battery you can refill matters more than the one you start with. With enough panels out, the DELTA 4 puts a full charge back in about half the hours of sun. Without those panels, the second input does nothing at all.

DELTA 4 (3800): two solar inputs, 11 to 60 V and 1,000 W each, 2,000 W totalA5HomePower 3600 Plus: 1,000 W solar inputBatteries: 3,763 Wh against 3,584 Wh

Why it mattersCount the panels you own or will buy. If they add up to 1,000 W or less, the second input is an empty socket you paid for.

F2

cost / lifetime kWh

Per watt-hour, the Jackery costs less on day one and over a full life. The 179 Wh the EcoFlow adds doesn't cover a $300 difference, so its case has to rest on solar and weight.

Price: $2,199 for the DELTA 4 (3800), $1,899 for the JackeryBoth rated for 6,000 cyclesCost per lifetime kWh: $0.10 for the DELTA 4 (3800), $0.09 for the Jackery

Why it mattersIf you won't use the extra solar and won't carry the box, the Jackery is the better buy.

F3

weight

In a garage, I'd rather roll 77.2 lb than carry 67.5 lb. Away from home the wheels quit at the bumper, and a tailgate barely touches either battery, so the lift is the only thing left to decide.

HomePower 3600 Plus: 77.2 lb with built-in wheels and a pull handleB2DELTA 4 (3800): 67.5 lb, a handle at each end, folding cart sold separatelyA7Tailgate Party needs 670 Wh: the DELTA 4 uses 21% of its usable battery, the Jackery 22%

Why it mattersFor a box that rides in a car, the DELTA 4 (3800). For one that rolls to the kitchen, the Jackery.

The specific dimensions that decide these two units — everything else is a tie.

Lifetime Value

Selected because: Both are rated for 6,000 cycles, so the cheaper box is also the cheaper one to own.

cost / lifetime kWh

The Jackery is the cheaper one to own, by a little. Both carry a 6,000-cycle rating, so the page puts the HomePower 3600 Plus at $0.09 per lifetime kWh and the DELTA 4 (3800) at $0.10. Nothing in the EcoFlow's battery earns the higher price back over time.

That turns the EcoFlow's price into a question about features. If you'll use the second solar input or carry the box, the difference buys something real. If neither applies, you're paying for a socket you won't plug anything into.

Growth Path

Selected because: Both take extra batteries. Only the DELTA 4 (3800) doubles the solar to refill them, 2,000 W against 1,000 W.

solar input

Both grow, so the question is how they refill. The DELTA 4 (3800) takes up to two extra batteries, either DELTA Pro 3 or DELTA 3 Max Plus packs, and EcoFlow quotes 4 to 12 kWh in allA6. The Jackery takes its own expansion batteries, though our record doesn't carry its ceiling.

A bigger bank behind 1,000 W of solar just takes longer to fill. Each EcoFlow input takes 11 to 60 VA5. That's open-circuit voltage, the figure printed on the back of a panel as Voc, and each string has to stay under 60 V. Two strings at 1,000 W each give the DELTA 4 twice the sun the Jackery can take, however big the bank gets.

Portability & Form Factor

Selected because: 67.5 lb with a handle at each end, against 77.2 lb on wheels.

weight

The heavier box is the easier one to move. Reviewers point to the HomePower's wheels and pull handle as what makes its weight manageableB2. The DELTA 4 (3800) is 9.7 lb lighter but has no wheels of its own, and EcoFlow sells a folding cart separatelyA7.

Wheels quit at the bumper. For a box that goes camping or rides to a job site, the EcoFlow is the one I'd lift. For one that waits in the garage and rolls to the kitchen when the lights go out, the Jackery's extra weight barely registers.

Your Life, Your Pick

Selected because: Every scenario but Van Life Daily goes to both, so capacity doesn't split these two.

Capacity never splits them. The eight-hour blackout leaves the DELTA 4 (3800) with 1,554 Wh and the Jackery with 1,401 Wh. The 2,100 Wh camping weekend leaves 1,099 Wh against 946 Wh. Both pass everything but Van Life Daily with room to spare.

Van Life Daily asks for 4,685 Wh, past both batteries. The DELTA 4 covers 68% of it and the Jackery 65%, so a day like that needs an extra battery on either. For a remote workday, the EcoFlow's 140 W USB-C port charges a big laptop directly, against the Jackery's 100 W.

CPAP Overnight

Sleep therapy without interruption — the #1 medical use case

Either unit

A CPAP is about 40W for eight hours, so both of these cover the night several times over — capacity isn't the question here. The only published difference is fan noise, and it can't settle this: the HomePower 3600 Plus is rated 30dB and the DELTA 3800 Gen4 40dB, but the HomePower 3600 Plus's is its maker's best case and the DELTA 3800 Gen4's is EcoFlow's maximum under heavy charge and discharge, so at a 40W draw the real gap can only be narrower than it looks, and may even run the other way. Neither settles which box is quieter at a bedside. Buy whichever is cheaper or easier to carry.

Conclusion

November 4, 2026

Verdict: the Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus

I'd buy the HomePower 3600 Plus, unless solar panels are how you'll refill it. The two share a 3,600 W inverter, a 7,200 W surge, a 6,000-cycle rating and a battery port, so the Jackery's lower price goes further than usual: it's $300 cheaper and costs less per lifetime kWh, $0.09 against $0.10. The DELTA 4 (3800) answers with 2,000 W of solar against 1,000 W, 179 Wh more battery and 9.7 lb less to lift. That solar ceiling only pays if you own the panels to fill it. EcoFlow ships the DELTA 4 (3800) in late NovemberA10, and the Jackery is on sale now. A roof full of panels, or a box that rides in a car, flips the call.

Test Notes & Caveats

Hidden gotchas and advantages we spotted that you won't find on the product page.

[NOTE]

Ten Pounds Lighter, No Wheels

The DELTA 4 (3800) is 67.5 lb and the HomePower 3600 Plus is 77.2 lb, but the Jackery rolls on wheels with a pull handle. Across a garage floor the heavier box is the easier move. Into a trunk, the EcoFlow is.

[NOTE]

Warranty: No Difference

Both units carry the same 5-year warranty, so coverage isn't a tiebreaker here. Both figures are maximums rather than guarantees: EcoFlow's depends on registering the unit in the EcoFlow app, which adds two years to a three-year standard term; Jackery's on registering the unit with Jackery, which is what extends the base term to the full period.

Analyst note

Both units have similar long-term ownership costs ($0.10/kWh vs $0.09/kWh). The price difference is what you see on the sticker — neither is a hidden bargain or rip-off. One thing to know reading the table: both carry the same 6,000-cycle rating, so the lifetime rows are sticker price and capacity in disguise — the wear horizon is identical and decides nothing here.

Ecosystem

Largest in portable power — 12-15 models across DELTA Pro, DELTA 3, and RIVER 3 series, plus solar panels and smart home panels

Support

US-based phone/email/chat support (1-800-368-8604). Experiences are polarized — many report hassle-free prepaid-label replacements, but others report long waits and refurbished units sent for new claims. Pro tip: buying from Costco or Amazon gives you a stronger return safety net.

Jackery

Ecosystem

12-15+ models across Explorer (portable) and HomePower (home backup) series, plus SolarSaga panel ecosystem and innovative form factors

Support

US-based support but widely criticized. Reddit reports describe slow/dismissive responses, scripted AI agents, strict receipt requirements for warranty claims, and refurbished replacements for clearly defective units. Strongly recommended: buy from Costco or Amazon for return protection.

Community

Smallest community of the major brands — Reddit r/Jackery has ~2,000 members. YouTube presence is solid due to brand recognition.

App experience

Rated 2.3-3.3/5 iOS and Android — the weakest app experience of the major brands. Multiple confusing apps (Jackery app vs Jackery Home) and mandatory login even offline.

Unique strength

Highest brand recognition and widest retail distribution (Costco, Home Depot, Best Buy, Amazon). The "Toyota" of power stations — dependable, proven, wide availability. Innovative form factors like the Solar Gazebo and Solar Mars Bot.

Worth knowing

A couple of older models still ship NMC chemistry with a shorter rated lifespan, so check the cycle rating on the specific unit — though most of the current line has moved to LFP. Generally perceived as overpriced for the specs offered compared to newer competitors. App experience is significantly behind rivals.

EcoFlow DELTA 3800 Gen4

Nobody owns a DELTA 4 (3800) yet. EcoFlow put it on sale on November 4 and ships it in late NovemberA10, so this page runs on EcoFlow's US store figures and our own arithmeticA1A5A6.

I'd want to put both solar inputs on a roof in December. EcoFlow rates each input at 1,000 WA5, and the pack won't charge below 32°FA9. Hypothetically, I'd wire two strings, leave it out through a cold, clear afternoon and log what it took back by dusk, because that's the day a solar buyer actually gets.

“Capacity 3,763 Wh, LFP (LiFePO4) cells. EcoFlow sells it as the DELTA 3800 Gen4; buyers and the press call the pair the DELTA 4.”

Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus

The best evidence for the Jackery is a real outage. One owner ran a fridge, a microwave, string lights, fans and a CPAP for two straight days on one charge during a three-day regional blackoutB3. A review roundup cites a 4.5-out-of-5 Amazon rating, with buyers praising quiet running and ease of useB4.

Reviewers keep coming back to the pack and the wheels. The 6,000-cycle LiFePO4 battery is the headlineB1, and the wheels and pull handle are what make its weight manageableB2. Our research found broad review coverage but little long-term owner detailB0.

“EV-grade LiFePO4 battery rated for 6,000 cycles, giving well over a decade of service life.”

Who Should Buy Which

Buy the DELTA 3800 Gen4 if you…

  • →Panels are your recharge plan. Two inputs take 2,000 W in all, twice the Jackery'sA5.
  • →It rides in a car. 67.5 lb against 77.2 lb, with a handle at each endA7.
  • →You'll grow a big bank and fill it from the sun. EcoFlow quotes 4 to 12 kWh with extra batteriesA6.
  • →You charge laptops straight off it. One USB-C port gives 140 W against 100 W.

Buy the HomePower 3600 Plus if you…

  • →You'll recharge from the wall. The second solar input is the main thing the extra money buys, and you won't use it.
  • →It lives in the garage and rolls to the kitchen. Wheels and a pull handleB2.
  • →You need it now. The Jackery is on sale today, and EcoFlow ships the DELTA 4 (3800) in late NovemberA10.
  • →You want the lower cost of ownership. The same 6,000 cycles at $0.09 per lifetime kWh against $0.10.

If neither fits

If something in your house runs on 240 V, neither of these will do. A deep well pump or an electric dryer needs a 240 V outlet, and both stop at 120 V. Look at a home battery with split-phase output, the two 120 V legs a house panel runs on.

08

The Bottom Line

For a house that recharges from the wall, I'd buy the HomePower 3600 Plus. Same inverter, same cycle rating, both grow, and it costs less to own.

If your panels can fill a 2,000 W input, the DELTA 4 (3800) is worth the extra. Twice the sun in a lighter box is the one thing the Jackery can't match at any size.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers drawn from the spec record and cited owner research.

How much is the DELTA 4 (3800) in the US, and when does it ship?

EcoFlow lists it at $2,199 on its US store. It went on sale on November 4, 2026, and EcoFlow says it ships in late November. The HomePower 3600 Plus sells for $1,899.

Which one charges faster from solar?

The DELTA 4 (3800). It takes up to 2,000 W of solar across two inputs, twice the HomePower 3600 Plus's 1,000 W.

Can you add batteries to both?

Yes. The DELTA 4 (3800) takes up to two EcoFlow extra batteries, and EcoFlow quotes 4 to 12 kWh in all. The HomePower 3600 Plus takes Jackery's expansion batteries.

Which one is lighter?

The DELTA 4 (3800), at 67.5 lb against 77.2 lb. The HomePower 3600 Plus has wheels and a pull handle, so it is the easier of the two to roll across a floor.

Is the Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus quieter than the DELTA 4 (3800)?

The published figures can't settle it. Jackery rates the HomePower 3600 Plus at 30 dB, and EcoFlow rates the DELTA 4 (3800) at 40 dB or less at loads up to 1,800 W. Each maker measures its own way, so the two numbers aren't a like-for-like comparison.
