$250 separates these two Ankers, and the SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 spends every dollar of it: twice the battery at 1,024Wh, four times the continuous output at 2,000W, five times the solar input at 600W, and a 10ms UPS switchover the 535 doesn't have at all. That is an unusually one-sided spec sheet for two boxes from the same company.
The 535 PowerHouse is not a bad unit. It's 512Wh of LFP that measured 89% round-trip efficiency and stayed stable and cool delivering its full 500WA3, it weighs 16.7 lbs, and it costs $300. The catch is that 500W is a hard ceiling, and most of the reasons people buy a power station in a hurry live on the other side of it.
Buy the C1000 Gen 2 unless everything you plan to plug in draws under 500 watts and you're the one carrying it. If that's genuinely your list, the 535 is the smarter $300 and the 8.2 lbs you save are real. It's a narrower door than it looks like from here.
