Its service desk is the weak spot: slow scripted replies, strict receipt requirements on warranty claims, refurbished replacements for units that failed outright. The hedge is the shelf space. Buy the Explorer at Costco or Best Buy and the returns counter stands between you and all of that, which is worth paying something for. The cheaper unit also has the longer-lived pack (2,048 kWh of lifetime energy against 1,896), the bigger continuous inverter (1,000W against 800W), more solar input (300W against 200W) and a quieter rating (25 dBA against 30), all in an identical 16.1 lb carry. The one place the Explorer is plainly better is surge headroom: 1,600W against the DJI's declared 1,000W. If you're starting a compressor, that's worth $130.
