It's what's bolted around the cells. The DJI Power 1000 V2 brings a 2,600W inverter, a 4,400W surge ceiling and a 1,200W solar spec, and asks 31.3 lbs and $699 for the privilege. The HomePower 1000 Plus v2 brings 1,800W, 3,600W of surge and a 400W solar cap, at 23.8 lbs and $669, with a longer cycle rating and a published warranty term.

Two of the DJI's three headline numbers don't survive contact with a shopping cart. The solar ceiling needs an adapter that costs $329 and passed 600W in testing rather than the 1.8kW printed on the boxA6, and the 2,600W inverter is wired to a pack it could empty inside a coffee break. The starting ability is real and it's the one thing here worth paying for. Almost nothing else on the DJI's list is worth the extra $30.

The DJI holds the higher absolute ceiling, and on raw starting ability it's the stronger unit — a motor pulls a fixed number of watts at switch-on, not a multiple of anyone's rating. Keep it in proportion, though. At its full 2,600W the DJI would drain its own 870Wh usable in about twenty minutes, so the continuous rating is a permission slip, not a runtime. Read this card as 4,400 against 3,600 and ignore the rest.
