It is the only one of these two that finishes our eight-hour blackout profile, 1,645Wh of fridge, lights, router and phones, and it lands that with 118Wh still in the pack. The Power 1000 stops 775Wh short, a little past the halfway mark, and then you are on flashlights.
That certainty costs $1,549 against $699, and nearly twice the weight. Which makes the Power 1000 less the loser of this page than a different tool. It also explains why the upfront cost-per-watt-hour column flatters the DJI, which genuinely is the better buy by the watt-hour on the shelf, $0.68 against $0.75. The two columns disagree because they measure different things. One is what the battery costs. The other is what the energy costs.
The catch is that you have to use it. At twice-a-week cycling the ratings run to 58 years and 38, which is a polite way of saying the cells will outlive the app support. Daily cycling is where it turns into money: 16.4 years against 11, and a gap in delivered energy you would actually live to collect. Cycle it most days and the BLUETTI repays the difference. Cycle it in July and August and it never gets the chance.

Worth being blunt about, since the verdict on this page goes the other way. What starts a given motor is the ceiling rather than the ratio, so look up the inrush figure for the heaviest thing you own and check it against 3,900W instead of assuming the bigger unit covers everything.
Two rated ceilings, not two measurements
The Premium 200 V2 is rated no worse than 15ms on switchover and the Power 1000 no worse than 20ms. Will the DJI Power 1000 get me through an 8-hour power outage?

The profile we use there, a fridge with lights, router and phones, needs 1,645Wh, and the Power 1000 holds 1,024Wh on the nameplate and 870Wh after the flat 15% derate, so it finishes 775Wh short. It will cover the early hours of an evening, which is fine for a brownout and not fine for a storm.
Should I buy the DJI Power 1000 or the Power 1000 V2?
Buy the base Power 1000 only if it is meaningfully discounted against the V2. Otherwise buy the V2. The base unit is still sold and still a good small station, but it is the older revision of the same name, and DJI has shipped more than one revision under that label, so check what a given seller is actually sending. Can I add a second battery to either of these later?
No. Both are sealed at their rated capacity, 2,073.6Wh and 1,024Wh, with no expansion port on either one. That is less a flaw than a fact to buy around: pick the ceiling that covers your longest stretch off the wall now, because the only upgrade path is a second station.
Which one is quieter next to a bed for a CPAP?
Nobody can tell you that from the spec sheets, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Both makers publish a decibel rating and they do not measure the same way, one quoting a best case and another a figure under load, so the two are not comparable and neither was taken at a CPAP's draw.
