Solar panels for the Goal Zero Yeti PRO 4000

It takes any panel between 12.3 V and 145 V through its Other:HPP+ / Other:8mm inputs (2 of them), up to 3000 W, which refills it in about 1.3 hours of good sun. 29 of the 39 panels we track work; none are over the limit.

Its input window, and where each panel lands

Each line is one panel's open-circuit voltage. Inside the band it can connect on its own; in the red, never plug it in.

The best solar panel for the Yeti PRO 4000

Picked by the numbers on this station, not by brand.

Best value

Eco-Worthy 200W Flexible HJT Solar Panel 18V ETFE 18BB (GW-L02AM200HJT2)

About $1.25 for every watt it actually delivers here. 2 panels deliver 288 W.

Best to carry

Renogy 200W Portable Solar Panel Blanket (RPP200SB-SE)

144 W from a 8.82 lb panel, the most delivered watts per pound.

Other solar panels compatible with the Yeti PRO 4000

Any brand, checked by the numbers: voltage on a -10°C morning, current, and the plug. Most delivered watts first.

Already own a panel that isn't listed?

Type the numbers from the label on its back into the panel checker, already set to the Yeti PRO 4000, or build the whole system to see how it keeps up where you live.

10 panels we track get no verdict because their makers don't publish an open-circuit voltage.

How long does the Yeti PRO 4000 take to charge on solar?

One 100 W panel delivers about 72 W in good sun and refills the 3994 Wh battery from empty in about 55.5 hours.

One 200 W panel delivers about 144 W in good sun and refills the 3994 Wh battery from empty in about 27.7 hours.

At its 3000 W solar limit it refills in about 1.3 hours. More panel watts than that won't charge it any faster.

A day gives three to six hours of sun that good, depending on season and place, so one 100 W panel takes 10 to 19 days to fill it. The system builder works it out for your state and month.

What adapter does the Yeti PRO 4000 need for solar?

Every panel we track needs a cable to reach its Other:HPP+ and Other:8mm input. None comes in the box.

29 panels don't have a named plug from their maker, so check the lead before you buy a cable.

Can you use non-Goal Zero solar panels with the Yeti PRO 4000?

Yes. What decides it is the panel's voltage and plug, not the brand. 29 panels from Renogy, Jackery, Anker SOLIX, EcoFlow, BLUETTI, Eco-Worthy and Rich Solar work with it, as long as the panel stays under 145 V on a cold morning and starts above 12.3 V.

The strongest single panels here are the Renogy 590W N-Type Bifacial (425 W delivered) and the Jackery SolarSaga 500 X (360 W delivered).

Can you connect two solar panels to the Yeti PRO 4000?

Yes. It has 2 solar inputs, so the simplest way is one panel on each. Use the same panel model on both. Goal Zero's inputs share a controller, and mismatched panels hold each other back.

Wired in series, up to 2 BLUETTI PV100 FX Flexible panels fit under its 145 V limit, even on a -10°C morning. Series adds voltage; parallel adds current.

Past 3000 W delivered, more panels only help on cloudy days.

What is the Yeti PRO 4000's solar input?

HPP+ High Voltage Input (spec table: 'High Voltage DC'): 13.3–145 V, up to 30 A, 3000 W. 8mm Low Voltage Input (spec table: 'Low Voltage DC'): 12.3–28 V, up to 10 A, 275 W. 3000 W across all inputs together.

Input limits from Goal Zero's documents, checked 2026-09-18 (source). Delivered watts assume 72% of the panel's rating in good sun.
