The 500X is the older Li-NMC unit rated for 500 cycles with a 300W inverter; the Yeti 500 is the LiFePO4 replacement rated for 4,000 cycles with a 500W inverter. They share a $500 price and about a half kilowatt-hour of capacity, and very little else.
