Solar panels for the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus

Written by Ian Schneider·Solar & Off-Grid Tester

The DELTA 3 Max Plus takes solar through two XT60i sockets, EcoFlow's own DC plug, and the same two sockets take the car charging cable. The manual rates each one at 11 to 60 volts and a current limit, and prints no wattage anywhere. The 1000 W in our table is the total across both, and it comes from EcoFlow's product page rather than the manual. Thirty-one of the forty-one panels we track publish a voltage. All thirty-one fit under 60.

Behind the ports is 2048 Wh, and the battery sets the pace. Fill the input and it is full in about two hours of good sun. One 200 W folding panel on its own gives about 144 W and needs about fourteen hours, more than a weekend of good sun delivers. For a battery this size I'd plan on two panels at the least and pick them off the list further down.

The spec sheet gives the car input three voltages, 12, 24 and 48, with a current for each. The solar line gets a range and a current and no wattage. The US and EU editions of the manual agree on that.

The door

Every panel we track, lined up at the DELTA 3 Max Plus's solar input

Every panel we track with a published voltage, standing in a line by that voltage. The figure is the open-circuit voltage, Voc on the back label, what a panel reads in sun with nothing plugged into it. The black line is 60 V, the most either port will take. Nobody in the line reaches it.

The pale cap on each bar is what a cold morning adds, about 10% at −10 °C, because a panel's voltage climbs as the glass gets colder. The tallest bar is Renogy's 590 W rigid at 52.63 V on the label, and even with its cap it stays under the line. If I had the Fluke on a panel's leads at dawn on my deck, the cap is the part of the reading I'd be watching.

The chart shows panels one at a time. Wire two in series, the plug of one into the socket of the next, and their voltages add, so two tall bars stacked go past the line. Wire them in parallel, side by side into one port, and the voltages stay put while the currents add. The manual caps that at 18 amps a port.

Hover any bar for the panel's name. If yours isn't among them, type the Voc off its back label into the box and it takes its place in the line.

Swipe sideways for the whole line-up.

What we'd buy

The best solar panel for the DELTA 3 Max Plus

Picked by the numbers on this station, not by brand.

Best overall

BLUETTI 350W Solar Panel (PV350)

4 panels deliver 1000 W, the most the input takes.

Best value

Eco-Worthy 200W Flexible HJT Solar Panel 18V ETFE 18BB (GW-L02AM200HJT2)

About $1.25 for every watt it actually delivers here. 4 panels deliver 576 W.

Best to carry

Renogy 200W Portable Solar Panel Blanket (RPP200SB-SE)

144 W from a 8.82 lb panel, the most delivered watts per pound.

A day on solar

How long the DELTA 3 Max Plus takes to charge on solar

About two hours, with both ports busy and the input at its full 1000 W. Getting there takes a set of four large panels. Six of the thirty-one we track can do it, and EcoFlow's own 400 W folding panel is one of the six.

One panel is the likelier picture. A 100 W folding panel gives about 72 W in real sun, and at 72 W a 2048 Wh battery needs about twenty-eight hours. A 200 W panel gives 144 W and needs about fourteen.

A good day has 3 to 6 hours of sun that strong. Twenty-eight hours of it is the better part of a week, and I'd sooner carry a second panel than wait it out. The system builder works the days out for your state and your month.

Every panel that fits

Solar panels compatible with the DELTA 3 Max Plus

Thirty-one fit, eight of them EcoFlow's own. For each one: the cable that gets it into the XT60i socket and what a single panel delivers in good sun. Then the most the DELTA 3 Max Plus will take from a set of them. Eleven need an MC4 adapter, MC4 being the pair of snap-together plugs on the leads of most rigid panels. One, EcoFlow's 125 W modular panel, ends in a plain XT60 and wants the short XT60-to-XT60i lead. Sorted by delivered watts.

Everyone else's

Own a panel that isn't in the line-up?

Type its voltage into the door chart above for the height test, then put the rest of the label into the panel checker, already set to the DELTA 3 Max Plus, for current and plug too. Or build the whole system to see how it keeps up where you live.

The plain answers

How long does the DELTA 3 Max Plus take to charge on solar?

One 100 W panel delivers about 72 W in good sun and refills the 2048 Wh battery from empty in about 28.4 hours.

One 200 W panel delivers about 144 W in good sun and refills the 2048 Wh battery from empty in about 14.2 hours.

At its 1000 W solar limit it refills in about 2 hours. More panel watts than that won't charge it any faster.

A day gives three to six hours of sun that good, depending on season and place, so one 100 W panel takes 5 to 10 days to fill it. The system builder works it out for your state and month.

What adapter does the DELTA 3 Max Plus need for solar?

Every panel we track needs a cable to reach its XT60i input. None comes in the box.

The cables they need: MC4 to XT60i (11 panels), DC8020 to XT60i (4 panels), Anderson to XT60i (3 panels), DC5521 to XT60i (2 panels) and XT60 to XT60i (1 panel).

10 panels don't have a named plug from their maker, so check the lead before you buy a cable.

Can you use non-EcoFlow solar panels with the DELTA 3 Max Plus?

Yes. What decides it is the panel's voltage and plug, not the brand. 23 panels from Renogy, Jackery, Anker SOLIX, BLUETTI, Eco-Worthy and Rich Solar work with it, as long as the panel stays under 60 V on a cold morning and starts above 11 V.

The strongest single panels here are the Renogy 590W N-Type Bifacial (425 W delivered) and the Jackery SolarSaga 500 X (360 W delivered).

Can you connect two solar panels to the DELTA 3 Max Plus?

Yes. It has 2 solar inputs, so the simplest way is one panel on each. Use the same panel model on both. EcoFlow's inputs share a controller, and mismatched panels hold each other back.

Don't wire two BLUETTI PV100 FX Flexible panels in series: together they would pass its 60 V limit. Parallel them instead.

Past 1000 W delivered, more panels only help on cloudy days.

What is the DELTA 3 Max Plus's solar input?

DC/Solar Input Port: 11–60 V, up to 18 A. DC/Solar Input Port: 11–60 V, up to 18 A. 1000 W across all inputs together.

Input limits from EcoFlow's documents, checked 2026-09-18 (source). Delivered watts assume 72% of the panel's rating in good sun.
