Solar panels for the DJI Power 1000

It takes any panel between 12 V and 30 V through its XT60 inputs (2 of them), up to 800 W, which refills it in about 1.3 hours of good sun. 16 of the 39 panels we track work; 13 don't.

Solar charging needs the DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module (MPPT), sold separately.

How long does the Power 1000 take to charge on solar?

One 100 W panel delivers about 72 W in good sun and refills the 1024 Wh battery from empty in about 14.2 hours.

One 200 W panel delivers about 144 W in good sun and refills the 1024 Wh battery from empty in about 7.1 hours.

At its 800 W solar limit it refills in about 1.3 hours. More panel watts than that won't charge it any faster.

A day gives three to six hours of sun that good, depending on season and place, so one 100 W panel takes 3 to 5 days to fill it. The system builder works it out for your state and month.

What adapter does the Power 1000 need for solar?

Every panel we track needs a cable to reach its XT60 input.

The cables they need: MC4 to XT60 (7 panels), DC8020 to XT60 (2 panels), Anderson to XT60 (2 panels) and DC5521 to XT60 (1 panel).

4 panels don't have a named plug from their maker, so check the lead before you buy a cable.

Can you use non-DJI solar panels with the Power 1000?

Yes. What decides it is the panel's voltage and plug, not the brand. 16 panels from EcoFlow, BLUETTI, Jackery, Renogy, Rich Solar and Eco-Worthy work with it, as long as the panel stays under 30 V on a cold morning and starts above 12 V.

The strongest single panels here are the EcoFlow NextGen 220W Bifacial Portable (158 W delivered) and the BLUETTI PV200 (144 W delivered).

Can you connect two solar panels to the Power 1000?

Yes. It has 2 solar inputs, so the simplest way is one panel on each.

Don't wire two BLUETTI SP100L panels in series: together they would pass its 30 V limit. Parallel them instead.

Past 800 W delivered, more panels only help on cloudy days.

What is the Power 1000's solar input?

SDC port via DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module (MPPT) - module exposes 3 x XT60 to panels: 12–30 V, up to 20 A, 400 W. second DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module (MPPT) - DJI states two modules may be used at once but does not say which physical port the second one uses: 12–30 V, up to 20 A, 400 W.
